    Hi everyone,
I’m 13 days since my operation, I was a small B and had 360cc over muscle.
I was using the gym for a few hours a day with intense workouts before the op.
I’m really struggling not being able to workout, I knew it would be hard but I don’t think I realised how much.

Between week 2-3 what workout is possible without damage? Any ideas for workouts 4 weeks+ ?
I’m also not sure when I can start lifting my arms higher than my head?
The lack of sleep has been awful, how long do you sleep sat up for?
    So many questions 😂

    Hi Steph,
I too love exercising and normally go to the gym 6 times a week (I swim and do various classes). I thought I was going to really struggle not going too but actually haven’t as I don’t feel ready. I’m not in any pain just discomfort but can’t imagine exercising feeling like this if that makes sense, having said that I will be glad to get back to it but I keep telling myself that it’s only for 6 weeks (although now it’s actually less than 3 as I am 22 days post op). Unfortunately all you can do is walking for 6 weeks, I asked the nurse the other day if I could do lower abs exercises (the ones where you use your legs if you know what I mean) and she said no because you are using your chest muscles.

I’m not sure about the lifting the arms above the head, I haven’t really needed to yet, if I put a top on that goes over my head I just lift them to my shoulders and then out in front of me. You sleep sat up for 2 weeks and then flat on your back, after 6 weeks you can sleep on your side.

    I hope that helps.
