So apart from the pain killers and antibiotics I’ll be given after surgery, what else do I need and why?
I’ve seen posts about Arnica, Senna?
What creams do people recommend for the scars when safe to moisturise?
    Thank you xx

@laura some girls are advised by the nurse at their pre op about taking Arnica to prevent bruising. I was advised to take this 5 days before my op and 5 days after. For someone who bruises very easily I didn’t have one after my op! It might just be a coincidence or the Arnica might have worked, who knows!
I also took Senna after my op because i didn’t have any bowel movements for 3 days after my op.
I’m not at the 6 weeks mark yet so I’ve not started putting creams on my scars but I’ve read a lot of girls on here use bio oil. I personally am going to try Kelo-Cote for my scars. It’s another one that get’s mentioned on this forum a lot. It’s quite expensive but the reviews are amazing on it xx

Is always check with your surgeon before taking any supplements to see whether they recommend.
Before my surgery I had a big shopping basket filled with all sorts of supplements including arnica. When I mentioned this at my pre op my surgeon was dead against it saying there was no need to take any of them. I was quite relieved as I saved myself about 40! I didn’t have any adverse problems post op such as bruising. My scars are healing fine without any supplements. You also can’t apply anything on the incisions until like 6 weeks!
Some girls I speak to are using like bio oil on there breasts and just avoiding the incisions.
Senna is fine post op as that is for your bowels if you become constipated. There are also food or drink options which could help with this.
