    Hey girls.

I’m 1.5 days post op had unders. They’ve prescribed me only paracetamol and codeine. I can only take 4g of paracetamol in 24 hours so unable to take it 4 hourly. This is not controlling my pain what so ever!

Please can someone tell me when this pain will subside? It’s unbearable even laying here it’s so painful I can’t physically move at all without it being excruciating to the point I feel so sick.

Any advice please? ? it’s the weekend so I can’t even book a GP app xx

hang in there it will get easier I promise, the first week is hard but then the pain suddenly starts easing off and by week 2 you will feel so much better. Just try and keep up with the pain killers and ice packs really help aswell. Get as much rest as you can and make sure you drink and eat plenty of protein. It will all be worth it very soon xx

    Hey,
Not sure what company you went with for your surgery, but you could always contact them and ask for something to help you
Manage with the pain, I recommend Robaxin which is a muscle relaxant and it helped me to bare the pain! – the length of time you will be in pain for varies from person to person. I started to feel more normal towards the end of week two. Also booking to go and see your GP might not be a fantastic idea depending on which company you went with for surgery! X also under are very very painful, tbh I couldn’t believe the amount of pain I was in for the first week after the op- I couldn’t do ANYTHING without help! So just give your body time to rest and heal, it is a fairly invasive surgery under the muscle xx

Thanks girls its starting to ease now. I really wasn’t expecting to be in this much pain!! They did prescribe me Robaxin but my surgeon told me to stop taking it. Im going to try and just take paracetamol today as despite taking laxatives codeine has really bunged me up! Im slowly getting there and the pain is worth it in the long run! Hope you two have recovered well. xx

Hey Ashleigh, I was on the same boat as you throughout my whole 1 week PO. I could barely move from my bed because if I did my incisions would hurt so much. Even called the nurses crying lol. It just differs how everyone deals with pain, some only feel soreness and tightness and some feel actual pain. I found that taking little walks for 15 minutes each day to get my blood flowing made me feel better when I was in pain, and I also tried eating healthy most of the time 🙂 For what it’s worth, it gets so so much better for me after the 2nd week. I felt completely normal about 15 days PO 🙂 Goodluck girl you’ll be alright x
