My hospital gave me two surgical bras free, the brand is Design Veronique with fastenings both at the front and back, provides great support and are easy to put on and adjust. M&S and Macom also do cheaper post surgical bras with a front fasten.

I would love to know what people went with I have my surgery in a few weeks and I’m wondering if people prefer the macom ASDA or m&s bras xxx

Hi I have had 2 BA’s In the space of 6 months, for my January surgery my surgeon recommended M&S my opinion of them was that they pulled my boobs right into my chest so they looked flattened every time I’d take my bra off (Frankenstein boob) . The bra band around the bottom would dig into my incisions ouch! And the zip kept on splitting ? which was no good as it was painful at first to try and fix this, this was the extra high impact sports bra . I would not recommend it and chose not to use it Again. This time round I’ve paid extra for Macom which is super comfortable and feels thin so your boobs and nipples can breathe it’s designed specifically for post op and you can defiantly tell. For me it’s been worth paying the extra for them I got a NUDE and BLACK and would 100% advise doing this especially in the summer as you feel so much better wearing a light colour under white tops and things x

Katie I think as long as they offer full support then it would be ok.
The reason for front fastening is because its hard for post op ladies to do up a bra the normal way. My friend never had any front fastening ones.
There are some sports bras that look like normal bras, m &s sell them
