    Hi girls,

So I have my op booked 5/09 and as we all do pre op, I’ve been looking over posts for advice and tips. I read a lot of ladies saying about using things like arnica quatercin iron vitamins etc (sorry for dodge spelling) and obviously filled my holland and Barrett basket up with all the goodies ready to purchase…
I did however wait until I had my pre op which was today to check with my surgeron if he would recommend them both before and after, which he strongly advised against! Saying if I turn up having taken them I might as well have not come? So that saved myself some monies, although slightly confused.
I understand different surgerons recommend different things but just wanted to put it out there incase there was any ladies in my situation pre op and before you start supplementing yourselves up, just check with your surgeron first!! 🙂

I’m also similar stats to you, I’m 5ft 8 and been offered 325cc high profile overs, or can go 345cc biggest….feel that’s going to be too small as everyone apparently gets boob greedy lol

What’s the max you can go?

Hiya @louise I just found it so weird as like I said I’d been reading so many ladies saying they taking vitamins etc and he was just like no way?? Yeh maybe double check just to be sure. He said something that arninca can make you bleed more or something? God knows how one can recommend and one not? :/
I was offered 350/375 unders! Was so indecisive! Literally decided last min and thought f**k it 375!! 🙂 xx

Who is your surgeon mae? Its funny because i read about arnica before my op and loads girls saying they took it 2 weeks before the op but i read on google that it can make you bleed more so i personally decided against it because of that. I did ask my surgeon but he said he couldnt comment on homeopathic remedies as they are not trained, so that was basically him removing liability from himself for telling me to take or not to take it, like a ‘no comment’ type answer. Anyway i ended up taking it about 5 days after my op as i wasnt healing that quickly and decided to give it a go, and it definitely helped…i noticed my pain and swelling went down almost overnight, although i dont know if its just coincidence as at 5 days your usually beginning to get back to normal x

Hey I took the following to aid repair and growth of muscles/tissue repair and to get on top form as I had mine just before Xmas 2016, work with teenagers and usually get a cold.

Magnesium, iron (feroglobin tonic) vit c and zinc I stopped taking everything but the feroglobin just before the op and post op I took them all again.

I didn’t catch a cold that winter and I healed really well. No pain just slight discomfort and I had unders with a mini uplift.

I didn’t bother with arnica as I knew the bruising would come down on the weeks that followed. I didn’t have any bruising apart from the side of one boob but it went down which is surprising because I bruise really easily and always have arnica cream to hand at home

I read up about the use of pineapples ro aid swelling because they contain bromelian.
So drank fresh pineapple juice mixed with water every hour post op for 5-7 days. I had no major swelling or breast size changes that some girls get ie. really swollen then boobs decrease in size so I reckon it worked

I checked all of the vit supplements our with my surgeon and she was very happy with them.

    Hope that helps

    Fxxx (8 months post op)

It’s scary that’s everyone is advised different! I was advised arnica 2 days before op and 5 days after which I did and was fine. I also took vitamin c and D and multi vits before and after.

I bought arnica tablets before my op but had also heard about these stories so didn’t bother in the end… I bruise so easily and had absolutely no bruising on one side and the slightest tiny patch of yellow bruising on the other side next to my scar (nurse noticed it, I didn’t.. it was that small!) I just took normal multi vitamins in the run up and then stopped a few days before as I’d heard vitamin E is a blood thinner. Straight after my op I took lots of vitamin c and bought protein bars/high protein foods. Just started taking my multi vitamins again after the first week xx

My surgeon is dr kazazzi! I’m coming up to 2 and half weeks pre op so was ready to get loaded on the vitamins and remedies etc.
It is weird that some say to take and some don’t but I guess it’s just the surgerons preference?
I may still take some after the surgery maybe like some of you ladies and wait until like 5 days after.
I am also having unders @fran so might give the pineapple a go!

I got told to stop taking anything that may contain vitamin E as it can cause bleeding.
The nurse said I could take Arnica if I wanted as she’d seen good results using them xxx
