Pulling Feeling at Incision Site

I’m 12 days post operation and for the last 2-3 days I have felt what I can only describe as a pulling feeling on the left hand incision site.

It feels like the wound is stretching and the pain has got quite bad today. I took the tape off and changed it but I couldnt see the wound to check if it was red as trying to move the breast to see the wound made it feel like it was pulling it more.
Any one else experienced this? I’m worried it might be the start of an infection but may be massively overthinking it too…

I totally get this. I feel pulling in my incisions when I reach too high or far. It’s totally normal and not a sign of infection. Try using your phone camera or a compact mirror under your breasts to see your incisions. My left one didn’t seem as closed when I took the tape off and took a little longer to heal but it’s the right one that pulls more. It’s been much better since I started using scar cream.

The left hand breast does seem to be sitting a little lower so maybe its rubbing slightly on the incision.

I have done the mirror part and it does seem to look ok, maybe a little red around it but in a more irritated way rather than anything else.

I’ve been getting this as well on my left incision! It feels sore and sometimes if my bra moves slightly i get a sharp – nippy feeling. Mine are still covered for another week and my surgeon said it’s nothing to worry about it’s just part of the healing process!
