I’d say definitely for the first couple of days. You might struggle with cooking, washing and dressing etc so someone close would be ideal.. you may feel quite sick after the anaesthetic so it’s good to have someone hand you a drink and your pain meds.. I felt good after 2 days but a bit ropy until then..
I started driving 2 weeks after and it felt very strange (I had under the muscle).. you can drive at around 1 week po but I found that I was still too sore at this point.. We’re all different though! Good luck with your op xx

Hey, I’m going through my recovery now as I had surgery Thursday. I live alone but I got my mum to stay on the night of the op and spend the day with me after. She mainly just cooked for me and help me wash and dress. I’m absolutely fine now and I drove for the first time today so 4 full days on. I think it’s really dependant down to the individual person as I had quite loose skin and overs so I think that’s why I haven’t had so much pain. I really just feel stiff in the mornings and when I sit around for too long! Hope that helps xx
