    Hey girls..
Just wondering how your recovery was with overs? I am due to go for my op on 1st May and just discussing with my mam about help ect she has took a week off to help as I have a 2 year old daughter who needs abit of help.. my partner has took part of the second week off but worried when they go back to work I will struggle to lift my daughter into the car ect to take her to nursery? My surgeon said I can lift her to a certain extent but nothing drastic.. any advice on recovery would be great 🙂

I had overs, but I don’t have any children so didn’t have to lift anything. I took 2 weeks off from work and tried to move my arms as little as possible. I had hardly any pain and didn’t use my painkillers, but you just have to remember that you’re still healing inside for a long time so just be really careful. Probably wasn’t til about 4/5 weeks until I felt completely comfortable lifting my arms right above my head, just had a twinge like near the armpit before then x

I had my op 26th March and now I feel back to normal I forget I’ve had them done at times, I couldn’t go bk the gym and lift the same or run but I’d definitely be able go back and do light cardio I go back to work Monday and feel fine. Was only on pain killers 2 days.. recovery has been a breeze so far

Hi I can’t advise if the pain over the muscle but I’m 9dpo from having unders. I stopped the painkillers 2dpo as they made me feel ill and I wasn’t in enough pain to make it worth taking them.
I would say it’s more uncomfortable than painful, and the worst part is lack of sleep from sleeping upright .
It really hurt breathing in but this may just be as they are under the chest muscle.
I am off for 2.5 weeks for the easter hols but I have been out and about walking and seeing friends from 5dpo and actually drove yesterday at 8dpo. I could have gone back to work (I have a desk job) at 7dpo.

Ah don’t worry jade, honestly you’ll be so excited you won’t back out. I wondered if I would as I really suffer with anxiety but I was so excited no nerves or anything all the way building up to the date. Even the date itself was fine till my surgeon came and said ill be going in 40mins then it kicked it.

The whole experience was brilliant, where are you having yr surgery? I was fitzroy London and everyone there was lovely the nurses were constantly checking if I needed anything, and bringing cups of tea and I had toast as soon as I woke.
Enjoy the whole experience it’s so worth it and when you wake up you’ll have ur new boobs!!
