Hey guys! Does anyone work in retail. have 3weeks off work is that enough time. Do a lot of heavy lifting and on my feet all day, would it be okay going back to work. Can’t get more time off work haven’t told my manager don’t want them to know about it. So worried about going back to work now ?

Helloo, I suppose it depends on each individual but I’m a support worker – constantly on my feet, giving insulin etc.. I had my surgery a week today and I’m going back to work tomorrow as I’m near enough pain free and back to normal! I think 3 weeks will be more than enough so don’t worry about needing more time! Obviously I can’t speak for everyone but I’m sure you’ll be okay x

I’m 3 weeks po now and I’m fine doing everything as normal. I do still get the occasional pain though and I’ve heard that they don’t recommend heavy lifting until 4-6 weeks after so I would check with your surgeon at your check up appointment x

I went back to work after a week but everyone is different so if you have a low pain fresh hold then 3 weeks may be better for you xx when I got back my manager was filling up my cage & told me to take breaks when I wanted 🙂 this still continues to this day & I’m know over a year post op lol

Hiya lovely I’m a Support worker and I took 3 weeks off work, I’m now back but only part time because my recovery time feels really slow. I’m still quite achey and my boobs are pretty sore still. When you go back just be sure you don’t push yourself, take it easy if you’re not feeling great still xx
