Hi ladies, just wondering if you’ve had an over night stay after surgery and had to share a room or do over night patients get a single room? Also where do our partners wait for us are they allowed to wait in our room for us while we’re in surgery ?

Hey Jessica! I stayed over night and I did have my own room, they do have 2 beds in one room and so I think they are only for use if no other rooms are free then you will be doubled up. If you have your own room and no one else is expected to go in there then partners can stay in there as long as they need, if you are sharing they will need o vacate the room whilst you are not in there (having surgery) and they can wait in the waiting room.

Hope this helps you 🙂 xx

Ok thank you that’s a great help! A girl just told me that if I was doubled up I wouldn’t be able to have my partner with me until after surgery and only for a few hours so was freakin’ out abit cus I’ll want him with me until I have surgery and straight after lol plus I live 3/4 hours away from the hospital and my partner is taking me down so he’s gotta get a hotel himself xx

Can they wait in your room while you’re in surgery if you’re not doubled up? Xx
