I had my surgery today and the sickness has been awful. I’ve only been sick twice but I’ve been feeling so dreadful, and sick but the horrible dizzy sick kind where the room spins.
I had anti-sickness medication and it didn’t work.
I’ve read on here the painkillers make you worse , so shall I just take paracetamol??
Also I’ve read the antibiotics are bad too, but I don’t want to not take them and get an infection??
Please help I feel so horrible xx

Firstly stop reading things – only your surgeon/a doctor can give you sound medical advice and you’ll just make yourself panic (which you seem to be doing which won’t be helping you) and feel worse.

I would suspect the reason you’re feeling so sick is because of the general anaesthetic, your notes should say that it is a side effect. If you’re worried, speak to your surgeon/a nurse. I hope you start feeling better soon, it’s worth it in the end!

    Hi Leah,

I had my op 13 days ago and I had the same problem! Sickness, headache, tiredness and feeling very out of it. I didn’t need my painkillers Co dydradomal after 3 days so I stopped them and I felt fine but I’d call ur clinic and ask them xx

Thanks for all the replies girls.
I haven’t taken any of the painkillers they gave me because of the sickness side effect so I’ve just been taking paracetamol and my antibiotics.
I had GA yes. I felt okay yesterday and back to normal but woke up feeling really sick. The pain is okay I’m just stiff I just hate the sickness feeling 🙁
