Hi girls, I’m 5ft2 around 8 1/2-9 stone and been to one consultation with a surgeon who said 275cc was the max I could go due to how little my frame was however I’ve decided not to use this surgeon due to lack of reviews and I’ve recently had a skype consult with a new highly rated doctor and waiting for my second consult to try the implants in etc. This new doctor brought to my attention the tear drop shaped implant and was just wondering if anyone had much information on these? One of the things the old doctor said when examining me was that I had little space from my neck to my breast so that’s why he could only offer the smaller implant size so would this rule out the idea of the teardrop shape due to them being a longer implant? The reason I’ve been thinking about the teardrop shape is because I feel I don’t have much tissue below the nipple and I have like a padding on my chest so I feel my chest bit protrudes a little bit above the boob and was worried if I get the round implant it would accentuate this and won’t look as much like the dropped slope natural looking boob if that makes any sense. I will attach images of my boobs to try to explain and show my current frame. I’ve always liked the look of the sloped big boob that can be pushed up in a push up bra and have a nice natural drop, would round implants with time create this as from research this is what the teardrop would try to create. Something that puts me off teardrop is the risk of them rotating- I don’t feel I would be put at ease with them. So yeah just wondering if anyone had teardrops or any information on them and any comments on my boobs to what you guys would think would be a good implant type etc. Obviously the surgeon knows best but just want as much information as I can get before I see him to decide 🙂 any help would be appreciated!! Also if you have had round/teardrop if you could send some before and after pictures if you have similar stats to me that would be much appreciated!

Worries I have is that the round implant would give more volume above the nipple compared to the top with the shape and fullness ratio I have to begin with. Also worried they will just look stuck on with no drop to them because currently there’s no drop at all to my breast which would you say is because of the little tissue or the shape?

Thank you, any comments will help!xx

Hi Kelsey, I am similar stats to you 5ft 6, 8st 9, 32a/aa but never filled out a bra.
I’m looking at 300cc hp round as this was the absolute max the surgeon I met with willing to go to. I am also worried that this is slightly small, as I can’t find many pictures on here for similar stats. Although the sizers looked massive it’s rather hard to judge what the end result will be from them.
To answer your queries about teardrop implants; I’m under the impression that if you’ve got little breast tissue you will be able to see the top of the implant protruding slightly at the top whereas the round textures will sit on your chest and gravity will take effect giving you most fullness towards the bottom of the breast giving the illusion of a natural sloping breast, hope that helps xx

    Hi Kelsey,
We’re right about the same size. I’m 5’1” and 120lbs. I had 325cc silicone implants put in 3 weeks ago. I had a little bit more breast tissue than you did but I didn’t even fill out a b cup bra. My surgeon told me that they don’t really recommend the teardrop implants anymore because they have been linked to lymphoma but that even round implants will fall into a teardrop shape after they settle. The more breast tissue you have, the bigger implants you’ll be able to get but because of your small frame a smaller implant will give you big results. You might be able to go a little bigger than 275 though. Here’s a pic of my 325s. (One boob has started to drop. The other one still needs to catch up) Hope this helps. Xx

Hi Tiffany, thank you for your reply! Oh really! That’s mad I didn’t know that, I was wondering about the rounds dropping into a teardrop and was thinking the teardrop would drop and sag more presumably. Yeah I’m hoping for him to say 300cc max id be happy with that with how little I have to begin. Yours look unbelievable! Perfect size and shape! are yours round?

Hi Im the same stats as you but was about a 34b to start with I have two kids so had some breast tissue but no upper pole fulness. I got 400cc motiva ergonomix. I would definitely recommend the ergonomix implants. They have a teardrop shape when standing but are actually a round implant. They haven’t fully dropped but look natural up top no fake looking roundness. Xx

    Kelsey,
I got smooth round silicone implants. I was told that the teardrop implants are textured so that they stay in place after surgery but that generally the round textured implants are for revisions or women who already have a little bit of sagging in order to prevent them from falling too much. Since you aren’t doing a revision, if you don’t go with the teardrop implants I would suggest getting smooth so that they settle into a natural shape. I had originally wanted teardrop shaped implants as well because I didn’t want them to look fake with all of the extra fullness on top where you can see the entire shape of the implant but my surgeon convinced me that they would still look natural. They still haven’t completely dropped and so they look a little too perky but it hasn’t even been a month yet so they still have a ways to go. I would suggest doing a lot of research on the pros and cons of each type of implant to pick what’s best for you. I bet you’re super excited. Good luck!

They sound absolutely perfect!!! I don’t think my surgeon does them though I think he only uses mentor unfortunately and I’m sure I want to go with him now xx

    Kelsey,
Mine are Mentor actually. I’d go with what the surgeon suggests though. He’s the professional. Good luck! Xx
