    Hi girls,

I’m now 2 weeks post op and finding sleeping upright more and more uncomfortable every day. My bum gets so numb I have to try and lay on an angle which then causes back ache. How long until I can begin to lay on my back? Also I’m currently really happy with the size of my new boobs but have been told they can get bigger? Is this the case? I don’t want them to get too big xx

My nurse told me it’s fine to sleep flat at 2 weeks, but not on your side until 6 weeks

I’m the exact same! 3 weeks post op tomorrow & still scared to lay down properly! I’m gradually moving down slowly but waking up 4/5 times during the night because my muscles in my boobs feel tight and uncomfortable! Dying for a decent night sleep! X

Sounds like every nurse has their own opinion. It’s hard to know what the right thing to do is. Plus so uncomfortable waking up at a 45 degree angle, major boob ache. Can’t wait to be able to lay normally again and get a descents nights sleep. X

I wasn’t even told to sleep upright after my op!! Been waking up on my side & this morning on my front – but been sleeping on my back since day 1. Now two weeks post op. I think I woke up on my front this morning as it was uncomfortable though!!

I had to sleep upright as the pain in my right shoulder blade was agonising. However it’s a lot better now so wondering whether to try sleeping on my back. This may be a stupid question but can it alter the position of the implant if you sleep in your back/side so soon after the op? X

I was never told how to sleep either. First 2 nights I surrounded myself with pillows and was slightly upright but ever since I’ve been on my side and completely flat.. Is this going to cause me problems? Worried now! Xx
