I was awaken today by boyfriend screaming at me “you’re on your side, you’re on your side” absolutely scared me to death but apparently must of slept on my side.
My boobs aren’t hurting or aching more than normal morning times so I’ll be ok won’t I ??!?

Yeah I’m sure you’ll be fine hun. Some surgeons only recommend sleeping on your back for the first 3 days anyway so I’m sure no harm was done! Maybe try putting some pillows on each side to stop you from turning xx

How long ago did you have your op? I’m 2 weeks po now and I’ve been given the all clear to sleep however I please. My boobs hurt every morning and my scars have been killing the last few days. It’s all normal from what I’ve read on here so far though 🙂

Only last Tuesday so it’s still early days, I have my post op tomorrow so will make sure I tell the nurse.
Do you have any dressing on your scar still? X

Why do we all get told different things??? I was told after 1 week it was ok to sleep flat on my back. Anyways, last night I also slept half in my side and it was so nice (I’m a belly sleeper…booohooo). I’m 3 weeks post op today xxz

I don’t get why ur told to sleep upright, I went with spire n never told to sleep a certain way, I’ve always slept a bit propped up coz it’s the comfiest but I don’t have to xx

We do all get told different things it’s annoying. My nurse said to me after the op to just try and sleep at a 45 degree angle but said there was no medical reason other than you don’t want them to settle dodgy.
I’m gonna ask again tomorrow because sleeping has been the worst part of the whole process for me, I too ALWAYS slept on my front and it’s killing me not being able to move x

Hi Becca, I got told the angle was to do with swelling and reducing it!!! It’s crazy lol! Let us know how you get on! Xxx
