Sleeping upright, how long for??

How long are you meant to sleep upright for now? I’ve been told different things, one nurse said 2 weeks, Another said 6?

I slept on my back for 4 weeks and when it stopped being painful I was back on my side x

I slept upright for 6 weeks x

I slept upright for 2 weeks then removed a couple of pillows then from 3 weeks I slept flat. Occasionally woke up on my side but it was sometimes painful so try not to, I’m 4.5 weeks now and can sleep on my side comfortably.

My nurse said this was all ok xx

I was on my side after around 10 days x

Thank you to all your replies, I just didn’t know if you had to be upright for a certain amount of time incase it affected the way they started to look and heal x
