Hiya I wouldn’t say they test you they just obviously advice To not smoke for up to two weeks before I Think. Think it’s due to it can affect healing after surgery etc. Xx

I was advised to stop 2 weeks before but I was stressing out so much about the op it was impossible.
They can’t test you and my surgeon didn’t mention it the day of surgery.
He did afterwards, he said and the aftercare advise is smoking can delay/ hinder the healing process and cause other complications. I’m a social smoker too and I still am, although whilst I was healing I didn’t go out so it wasn’t a problem. Stop worrying it’ll be fine 🙂

I was also told two weeks before and not to smoke after as it can hinder healing, I had a few problems before my surgery caused me to stress out so I cut down but didn’t stop. Everyone was aware that I was still smoking but less than I had been, they were ok. I will admit I wished I hadn’t had the stress and had managed to take the opportunity to actually stop 😉 x

No they do not nicotine test you! You will be fine, I would try not to smoke as much as possible as it does affect you healing but a few at a festival I’m sure won’t hurt!
