im 4 weeks post op tomorrow and feeling so down about them i had 535cc uhh overs from an A (Im tall and broad) but there so small like theres no projection from the side and they feel so far apart like literally a huge gap in the middle and pointing outwards. So jealous of the girls who have huge boobies with good natural cleavage. I just want to push them in and up. My scars are looking so good and i have no pain but they look crap Makes me regret everything ๐Ÿ™ sorry for the rant ๐Ÿ™

    Hi Laura
I think it’s really hard to prepare for the psychological effects of having a BA. It’s a massive thing to get used to looking at our breasts being a totally different shape and size. 535 is a big implant, it should look like you have big breasts even if you are tall and broad. You will be able to push them up and together with a bra. Most people don’t have a cleavage without a bra, I haven’t either. I hope you get used to them hun, maybe post a pic so we can see and hopefully reassure you. It is such a big operation and I think it will take time to adjust.

I’m at nearly 9 weeks and mine are still really far apart ๐Ÿ™ I had partials and my chat muscles were quite strong so they’re taking a while to drop like. They don’t push together at all yet. My 6 week check up I was advised to massage them and they have softened slightly since! It will happen, just a matter of time unfortunately!! Xx

I’m really worried about how far apart mine are too… and the nipples are pointing outwards?? Will it ever change? I’m 10 days post!

It also Depends what the gap was like before? If it was big it will be big after as implants just make a larger version of your own breasts if that makes sense but surgeons can advise on what implants would be best to try and close a big gap xx

I got told with unders/partials you cant adjust the gap at all coz its under the muscle and the muscle pushes the implant outwards to an extent. But i got told with overs it can be corrected as it just depends where they put the pocket. Anyway i had overs thinking it would give me a cleavage and i still have a gap! But i have been on youtube and theres a surgeon in america that does some videos and he said theres actually a few things that determine your gap such as your breastbone shape, some people have a flat bone which is great, some people have a upside down V shape, so again that can make the breasts point outwards to the side rather than forwards…or theres some that have the opposite where their bone caves inwards in the middle and they end up with boobs too close together like a monoboob!…theres allsorts they dont tell you at your consultation…i found some very interesting stuff on youtube howwver a bit too late now as ive already had them done! x

Your only 4wks be patient your boobs still have a lot of changing to do. I just put two picture on my on my profile from day 1 to wk 9 each week they have changed, I am not on wk 10 yet and they look different again today. When you go for your 6wk appointment with the nurse speak to her and she will explain everything to you as what I have learnt from this forum is we are all different girls with small implants can look bigger than me or the other way around it can get a little confusing at times, but this forum is brilliant for seeing your not the only one worrying about what’s happening with your boobs. My nurse has been brilliant at explaining everything to me. Hang in there it’s very early days ๐Ÿ˜‰ xx

I’m 9wks post op and I’m still not happy with mine.. I have no cleveage what so ever, I don’t look any different in my clothes than I did before my op when I wore padded bras! I expected more of I’m honest BUT patience is the key so I’m just giving them time and hoping for the best as I’ve been told to give them 12-18mths…xx

    Hi Laura,
So sorry to hear you are feeling so down it certainly is a rollercoaster ride emotionaly but just wanted to try and reassure you that 4 weeks post op really is far too early to gage what the final look of the implant will be (and if my surgeon reads that he will be gritting his teeth with feelings of i told you so!)
Yes basicaly any pre-op gap will remain post surgery, the surgeons can not alter our anatomy but the gap can be less accentuated or over accentuated by the choice of implant size/profile, the problem is when your very early post op it often appears alot larger simply because the implant is firmer and swelling is still present even if you don’t feel like you still look swollen. A 535 UHP is not a particulary large implant when you compare it’s dimensions against the HP and Mod plus it’s the projection that’s larger, to try and put it in simple terms your 535 UHP is the same diameter as my 375 HP (12cm) but your projection is 6.1 mine is only 4.8, yes a moderate plus profile is better for reducing the appearance of a gap but to gain the projection i currently have i would have required a 650cc mod plus and the diamater of that is 15.4cm i simply would not have had room for that on my small frame , 300cc mod plus would have given me the 12cm diameter i have now but projection drops down to 3.6.
It might be useful for you to look at the mentor website size guide to really get aqquainted with your implant, anyway my gap had me heartbroken after my op, yes i had small breasts before but was a 34b, volume was all at the bottom but for the size of my chest i could create a great clevage with a bra so was horrified to no longer be able to do that after surgery, 4 months post op they were still quite ridgid and i felt allthough they were much bigger they were only visible naked and all these great clothes i was going to wear were now even more out of bounds than before, im now 5 just over 5 months post op they have fully softened i can squash them together and in a bra get a great shape (i do have other issues that mean im possibly going to need a re-aug but they are totaly set aside from the gap issue) so just wanted to post some pics to show you how much there still changing even at 5 months and onwards, i definately feel it could be upto 12 months before mine are fully settled so please try to be patient, as long as there are no signs of infection or prolonged pain etc….the best option for most at your stage in the process is to try and ignore them while they do their thing and seek comfort from posters who are much further forward in their BA journey.
First pics i will post are truly awful and will bring you zero faith in patience but pics of the ability to gain clevage further down the line i hope will give you some peace of mind, first pic is pre-op my natural cleavage around 2 years ago in that dress and then around 10 weeks post op in same dress at that point they just did not move at all.
Second pic is coming up 4 months post op, i really felt at that stage they should have softened to push together and truly thought they never would, 3rd pic is today, as you can see in the crop top still a big gap but i can create a clevage with a bra for a couple of hours when i need to depending on clothing xxx

Hi claudine, i have been following your journey on here for a while, as we had the same surgeon and i saw you have had a few problems. What is the reason for you maybe needing a re aug? I seem to have quite a wide gap aswell but considering i had overs it shouldnt be so wide. I am only 3 weeks po though but i do wonder is its because mr mounir doesnt use strapping? I think maybe if he did they would be pushed together and not allowed to maybe fall out to the side x

Hi, im still not sure to be honest back at Mya in 4 weeks (was supposed to see them thursday gone but i had to cancel) im not stressed about it at all now, they have agreed a re-aug will be performed if neccasary so that’s a huge relief but i obviously don’t want to put myself through that unless a better outcome can be acheived, im possibly having HPs taken out and UHPs put in wish i had of had those in the beginning, there often not suggested when girls are asking for a natural look but there have been lots of patients on the forum over the past few months being told that is their best option due to a narrow chest and all the girls ive been following (stalking!) With UHPs have a very natural look. I was happy to wait the year out and was praying they would just sort themselves out (fully accept i will only gain clevage with underwired push up) and i can do that now, a little sad that bra-less or even strapless might never be possible but such a shame my left one is now fine it’s the right one that clearly has a problem, it feels deflated, it’s rippled visibly the whole way round, still painful and can only withstand a bra for 2-3 hours, deffo not CC as it’s very soft it just feels like the implant is too small for the breast like it’s shrunk! You cant tell clothed but in a bikini the assymetry is obvious, not sure if it is the implant, a muscle problem or an overstretched pocket but without a bra on it just looks collapsed especialy when lying down. The pain isn’t bad either it’s low level but constant so very irratating, if it needs re-done it won’t happen till around Jan/Feb next year will update after next appointment and in answer to the strapping i dont know, lots of surgeons don’t use them they feel there unneccasary, i dont think my problems are anything to do with my surgeon he’s fantastic i think it’s more likely the actual implant or the muscle xxx
