Staying at the Fitzroy after surgery..

Hiya girls, my op has been booked for April the 19th with Dr Fiumara at the London Fitzroy and I’m staying over night. (Literally can not wait!) I just wanted to know from people’s experience what happens when you stay for example, can your chaperone stay with you over night, if not how long can they stay for.. will you get dinner/tea and breakfast and also what time are you expected to be checked out by the following day?

How come you’re dreading it? I’m so excited at the moment! I think the nerves will kick in closer to the time xx

I stayed overnight at London Fitzroy. Staying over night was a very good decision for me the nurses take care of you so well bringing you food all the time (snacks, dinner, breakfast) my boyfriend was my chaperone and they offered him to stay overnight with me as I was alone in the room. Room had great view by the way. Next day they let me out about 10am.

I’m glad I’ve booked to stay now as I’ve heard how good the after care is. I asked my PC today about chaperones staying the night with you, as I don’t want my boyfriend to fork out £100 for a hotel if he doesn’t need too, but she said that you’re not allowed as the insurance doesn’t cover it ????????‍♀️ Thanks for replying, I hope your recovery is going well xxx

I’m just nervous about the procedure and staying by myself overnight in the hospital I guess! Don’t get me wrong I’m very excited but also very nervous/scared!!

Hi, I’m looking to get my surgery at the Fitzroy too and was worried as I don’t want to have to pay loads of money for a hotel if my boyfriend can’t stay with me. I’ve just had my first consultation and was told he wouldn’t be able to stay as well? Do you know why they let your’s stay overnight, I really would like him to stay with me if possible! Xx

I’m here now they are all so lovely bring you tea and food at your request . They really look after you my partner went home and is completely bf back to get me between 9/10 am x to be ho est after your op you just want to chill so no point them waiting around if your In over night x
