Stitches are coming out..?!

I am 3 weeks po and so far everything is going really well ???? however today in the shower I felt what I thought was a scab coming away from my incision. Turns out it’s a stitch. It’s just sticking out of my skin in a totally healed part of the incision. Is this normal? Do they dissolve? I had my op in Fitzroy square which is 2 trains, an afternoon off work and £30 fare and I’ve just had my 2 week po apt on Monday… rather not faff again! xx

honestly dont worry, i had this. eventually everything goes. dissolving takes longer then i thought it would. but you have nothing to stress or be concerned by xx

My friend warned me about this. It’s totally normal Hun. Definitely nothing to worry about!

I had this happen an went back to clinic, the nurse pulled 3 stitches with some tweezers it didnt hurt because they are been pushed out anyway. I asked her if i should do it myself if any more came out she said i could do just make sure the tweezers are clean. It happened a few more times think i pulled about 5 myself xx

It’s normal. I gave my nurse a call and she pulled them for me xx

Totally normal! My nurse told me to leave it and it will eventually go away. Two weeks later and it’s smooth now 🙂 x
