Stop taking the pill before BA??

Does anyone know if you have to stop taking the contraceptive pill before surgery? I wasn’t told anything about this but have just read it on another site xx

I’ve been told to stop taking mine 2 weeks before and for 2 weeks after xx

Yeah I was also told to stop 2 weeks prior x

After my pre op with nurse I was sent information by email it’s all in there if you’ve had that?x

I just had my op on Monday and was not told anything like that. Although I had my BA elsewhere not at Mya.

I was told to by my surgeon although when i mentioned i have a medical condition he said it was ok and i could carry on. Its to reduce the risk of dvt. Im not going with mya though so unsure if mya policy is different

My PC said that some pills you have to stop, I guess the nurse will tell you at pre op 🙂

She didn’t say anything at my Pre op :(. Thanks girls I might ring mya and check as it’s not on any of my paper work Xx
