Strapping.. request not to have?

I spoke to my surgeon and he said he doesn’t often use strapping, however looking on here there are a lot of girls that have had it, some with the same surgeon. My friend also had the same Surgeon and didn’t have strapping, just came home with incisions covered and In her sports bra, which sounds the ideal for me!
Is there a way you can request that if medically possible you don’t have strapping?? seen a few pictures lately where the strapping looks super sore and don’t feel like I want that over and above the other pain!

Pretty sure strapping is used to hold implants in place/ stop them moving around in the socket. I cant imagine they put it on unless needed??? My surgeon doesnt use strapping, its a breast band instead (like a velcro strap) could maybe ask if thats a possibility instead?

Yeah I think i may request that instead, or hope to just end up in a bra instead. If I end up with it so be it, just never seem to hear good things about it! xx

I think it maybe depends if you go over or under the muscle I went over and just had incisions covered and my sports bra but a woman on the same day sand surgeon had strapping/breast band and she went under. Think that’s the reason behind it x

Yes I agree with Libby. Unders/partial normally goes with strapping. Honestly I had my surgery yesterday and I am loving the strap. I am of course curious to see my twins but I am so glad I have this strap. If feels my boobs are in place and safe and I am not scared to move my arms.
I read very bad comments about straps but personally I think they are super ok. Instead I’ve tried the Velcro strap and it really cuts under the armpits and feels horrible.

I had overs with Max marceillo … I had strapping
To me it wasn’t a nuisance at all , on for a week and felt the implants were in a safe and firm place
I had drains also which I will say we’re nothing either … Never felt any pain when removed and left no scars

My ba was April I had 350 & 375 … Now a 34 e and loving them

I had strapping, and like most have said, it wasn’t any trouble. Again like others, I felt more secure (also stopped me scratching when it got itchy… basically a child when it comes to being itchy, can’t help myself). Anyway, when I had it taken off I felt like my implants were going to fall out any second (obviously didn’t though). I quite like that I had straps, felt like a big reveal when they came off. They’ve also changed shape a fair bit since having them done, I hated mine this time last week but I’m liking them more everyday.
