    Hi girls

I’m 4 weeks post op and I’m struggling to sleep correctly so much. I start off at an angle and upright, have my pillow arrangement (tried endless ways to get comfy!) and my v pillow has helped, but when I wake up 9 times out of 10 I wake up lying on my back flat. I think when I’m half asleep I must get fed up and this might seem what’s comfiest. As a side sleeper I can’t wait to sleep on my side again but has anyone got any tips how they kept upright and not flat please? Or how long was it until you started to sleep ‘normal’ again?

Hiya hun…I feel your pain!!.. I’m 6 weeks P.O. now, I had to sleep upright for the first 2 weeks, flat on back for further two weeks then from 4 weeks on I was allowed to sleep on my side…I’d check with your nurse hun.. hope this helps xx

It’s awful isn’t it! I’ve had no pain so this has been the worst bit. Ooh that’s interesting I’ll give her a call! I’ve got my check up with her at 6 weeks too, can’t wait to have a good nights sleep haha! xx

Before sleeping my partner has been tucking a pillow just below my bum, under my legs. This helped me a lot, acted as a door wedge for ma butt!

Indiah has the best idea, it does work, and it made me feel a bit more comfortable too! Xx wishing you a better nights sleep!
