Sun bed?

Just curious to know how long people have been told to stay off sun bed for? And is there any special precautions to take after your allowed back on?

I have been told I can’t go near one until I’ve been seen at my 6 week check up which is literally killing me ???? x

After 6 weeks do you have to cover scars with anything or allowed to use as normal? X

I did ask my PC and she said once they had all healed it would be fine to go back on however I wouldn’t trust it with the scars so soon so I will personally cover my scars with something to begin with, I used to go on for 18 minutes so I guess I’ll be starting at 3 again haha x

I went for my consultation last week and got told you have to avoid for 1 year! I would just cover with plasters xx

Yes ladies wait till after 6 weeks but cover your scars as they will go dead dark and very noticeable if you don’t I used plasters to cover mine and I’m 8monyhs post op and still just put my hands on the scars so they don’t burn mine have faded really nicely xx

I went on 2 weeks post op but took my bra off and covered all of my boob up wth a towel and held on to them ???? I had no worries x

Oh wow I might do that myself! I got myself so dark I don’t want to be pale and start all over again!! xx

Had my 6 week appointment last week and she said I can start going on them again, just factor 50 on my scars and cover them xx

can u go on before, right up to surgery?

I did I went on two days before I had my operation, they never asked anything x
