    Hi All,

I’m going on holiday 6 weeks after my op. Has anyone got any stories, info or advice on the sun and your boobies? I’m worried about my scars tanning and the skin on my boobs being super sensitive to the sun. Is this a thing?

I look forward to hearing from you!!!!

Hi as far as I know you should keep your scars out of direct sunlight for 12 months after surgery so you’ll need to keep your bikini top on xx

Hey I got on holiday 6 weeks post op too and my PC told me just to keep them out of the sun cos it can make your scars red and then more noticeable. I’m sure someone told me needed to put higher factor cream on them but they could be wrong x

Hi Hun you need a high factor like factor 50 for boobs my nurse told me and it can make the skin pigment change with them being super sensitive xxxx

Yeah I thought as much. I can keep my scars out of the sun but I’ll want to tan the tops without peeling or getting sore. Excited to have boobs for my holiday haha!

Hey hun have I’ve been using kelocote scar gel on my incisions under and around my nipples as I had an uplift. The company also do a gel with spf factor 30 which I intend to buy for my holiday next month.
