surgery waiting time

i have my initial consultation on monday, i want my procedure done before i go on holiday, does anyone know how long the waiting time usually is and if i will have too wait a while before i can get surgery??

Hi Jade. I had my first consultation 8th Dec, met the surgeon and had my medical with the nurse both on 19th Dec, paid the deposit and secured the operation date on the 17TH Dec and had the operation 26th Jan. That was all fairly quick.

I had my initial consultation on the 21st Jan, surgeon consultation and pre op last week and then surgery on 23rd Feb.
The nurse asks you if your planning on travelling / taking a holiday so she should be able to answer your question but I think you have to wait 6-8 weeks before you can fly. (I may be wrong) xx

I’m in the same boat as you, I want to have my op before I go on holiday which is in June. I Only have my initial consultation on the 20th of feb so just hoping I can secure a date then. How did your consultation go? Did u manage to get a date around the time u wanted?

I had my initial consultation on Friday (1st Feb) and met my surgeon the following day! Today I confirmed my surgery date (17th March) and need to pay 4 weeks before at the latest (17th Feb). They had earlier dates too! This is at Fitzroy in London x

I had my initial consultation on 23rd Jan, consult with my surgeon on 25th Jan,
Pre-op assessment on 28th Jan,
My surgery is booked for 15th Feb!
So literally all within about 3 weeks! In can happen quickly if you are 100% sure about it and your surgeon has dates available x
