Hi ladies I am 5 DPO and just wondered how everyone else has managed with their bras and macoms in these first few days? I am so itchy and sore under my bra, the velcro is constatly scratching my chest and the strap is almost cutting in under my arms. Are we allowed to take it all off just for a short time to give skin a breather (and a good scratch!) or do they strictly have to stay on?

Any advice would be much appreciated, I’m so uncomfortable! xxx

    Hi babe.

I had strapping on until day 6 but after that I used to take my Macom off to shower (bottom half and under arms / holding the shower head) and to do my tan too. My nurse said 5-10 minutes wouldn’t do any harm xx

Aww thanks guys, I think I’ll ask the bf to take it off for me tonight for a little bit and give my back a good rub! He’ll have to put it back on for me aswell though because there’s no way my arms are up to that yet, I’m so sore!

What about vasaline ? Rub it on the parts where its rubbing as it will help relieve it if that makes sence i havent had mine yet but that might help as its not rubbing against ur dry skin then the vasaline.aloe vera is really good xx

Well girls we took my bra and strap off for the first time last night, gave my skin and boobs a good rub and a breather for half an hour even though they are so sore and it’s the best thing I’ve done all week! Had a good nights sleep and they feel so much happier now, almost like being free let them settle where they want to be before being strapped up again! Would definitely recommend doing this for comfort if you haven’t already xxx

Nancy how are you getting on love? Xxx

I ended up wearing my band on top of a top/vest to stop it rubbing so much round my arms which really helped, they can be soo uncomfortable! xx
