    BA booked for 7th Nov
My husband is completely supportive of it, hes known for the last 12 years I wanted a BA when I was 30 (I turned 31 yesterday so just outside of my aim age!)
My mum is supportive of it, even came to a consultation with me.
It’s THE MOTHER IN LAW that I’m worried about! She’s very opinionated just generally and I don’t know how she will be about it. I can’t hide it as she looks after our children a lot so it’s bound to come out one way or another. And not only the mother in law, but the FATHER IN LAW too!! Oh god and my dad for that matter.
I could cancel the whole thing at the thought of other people’s opinions which I know is wrong but I can’t get past it and my date is coming round sooooo fast now.
    Any advice on telling in-laws??

Bloody ignore them! It’s your body & your dream! As long as your hubby is fine with it then put their opinions in a box, in a large cupboard & hide it in the loft! You go girl! Xxx

Unless your planning on Undressing infront of them or they are paying for it then their opinion is irrelevant if they have anything to say just tell them how much their son enjoys them that will shock them into silence hahaha xx

You don’t need to tell anyone! I’ve not told any side of my partner’s family and no one has asked either . If you’re anything like I was and are wearing boost bras etc you shouldn’t look too much different in jumpers/t-shirts etc anyway. But honestly even if they did notice, just remember it’s YOUR body! I was so concerned about people noticing before I had mine done and now I’m really not bothered! X

I’m having mine done the day after you and I only told my mum on Friday. She’s totally against the idea, she thinks unnecessary surgery is pointless, and obviously being my mum thinks I’m perfect as I am. I knew that which is why I was so nervous to tell her. I did hint a few months ago that I was looking into it, but ever since I actually booked my date in I couldn’t feel excited or look forward to it because this horrible fear of her reaction would creep in. Honestly I don’t know why I was so nervous. I’m 27 your 31. We’re fully grown adults. It’s your own money, your own body and 100% your decision. Just tell them casually. Drop it in. Don’t make it a big deal, because it’s not a big deal to them. It’s nothing to do with their feelings or opinions, and I was very surprised by my mums nonchalant reaction which mostly comprised of “ok darling”. Just mention it in passing to your mother in law. Bring the date up, or plans for the weekend before, then say “because I’m actually having surgery that Tuesday I’m having my boobs done”…. let it sink in and just carry on talking. If you make a big deal telling her then she will. I told my boyfriends mum this weekend too in a very casual way and all she said was “ok lovely and you’ve checked the surgeon out and everything”. Just bite the bullet. I was anxious over this for months and now I feel so excited. I want that for you too! It’s your body remember that! Good luck!

It was the same for me !! Mum was extremely supportive, but was so scared to tell partners parents and my dad…
I let my mum tell my dad -he didn’t agree with it but said he just doesn’t want to hear anything about it..
Boyfriends parents I was having a chat with his mum one day,and mentioned in was off to London- when she asked why that was my opportunity.
Her first reply was ‘WHAT you don’t need them’ but the more it was discussed she understood. I left her to tell his dad.

Now I’m 1wpo and everyone’s been helping me and I’ve got get well soon flowers by my side from them all!!:)

I totally get this Hunni xx I had a uplift and BA last Monday.I 100% didn’t want my parents in law or Sister in law finding out. I’ve no family of my own close by , I told my family the day after the op as I knew they would try to talk me out of it, which they agreed they would have! Only as they like to think I was perfect already etc but now they are being supportive and texting checking how I’m recovering. The inlaws love to find fault in all I do so I know they would disagree and love to comment on how I’ve spent my husbands hard earned cash on new boobs! Firstly it will be both our wages paying them off and secondly it’s giving birth and nursing their grandson that did most of the damage haha. As it’s landed they are away on holiday for 2 weeks so I haven’t had to hide anything at all. I think if they were here though I would have made out I’d pulled my back or my shoulder. I’ve had a lot of post op pain so have been hobbling about a bit. As others have said though it is absolutely nothing what so ever to do with them. If they do find out and have anything bad to say it will most likely be due to jealousy that you e lovely new boobs 🙂 Good luck with your surgery xxx

I’m 4 weeks post op and none of my family know. As others have said I probably look the same as I did with my boost bras on. It’s only if they see me in a bikini that they will probably notice lol xx
