Thinking about Having Revision Surgery Started by: lili_35

    Hello all,

I had my surgery 4 weeks ago (I know it’s still too early!!) but all I feel is that they are still too small for my body and that they even keep shrinking more!
I’m about 8.6 stone, 5′ 6” tall and had 325cc under muscle. I wasn’t even a 34a before surgery, so almost flat! I’m already thinking about having revision surgery and I’m sure although people saying about the dropping and fluffing process, the volume won’t change and I’m not going to end up having the boobs that I want. Also aware of the greed after breast augmentation, but I believe I’m not being unreasonable, I was just lacking knowledge about sizes, and spending my whole life flat chested. My naivety thought a C cup would be big enough for me (I’m not convinced I’m even C now).
Do you know how long I have to wait before going for revision? Also how much it would cost (I didn’t have my first surgery with MYA but I’m thinking of having the revision here as I wasn’t happy with my doctor). Being kind of small (I’m size 6 most of the times but can easily fit in 4 too), I’m worried that I might not be able to go for bigger implants? My doctor suggested 300 first and then I asked to try bigger and he gave me then 325. I didn’t push for bigger at that point so I thought 325cc looked good , so I don’t know what was the max that I could go for.

Did you ask yours surgeon in the first surgeon consultation what size 325cc would get you to- or did they suggest 325cc- I’m currently a 34b and I told mine that I wanted to be at least a D and 325cc was suggested to achieve that then after the try on we decided on even bigger, 350, due to under the muscle sometimes taking away some of the volume. I asked the max and it was around 400cc but I think it’s different for everyone. Do you have another post op soon you could bring this up in?

I told that I’m happy with full C. When I tried 325 in the consultation, from grabbing them, they definitely felt bigger than my current boobs. However my surgeon didn’t warn me whatsoever that under muscle might come smaller. To be fair to my surgeon, I was more worried of ending having big boobs than didn’t even think that I might actually end of having small boobs! I was convinced from trying on 325 that it would be right for me.
There is not much difference between 325 and 350, but given that you already have some boobs (34b) then you might achieve size D. but in my case I’m pretty sure that 350 wouldn’t be enough for D. I’m 4 weeks post surgery and I’m telling you I’m not even C. I have attached a photo just to give you an idea as I don’t want any one to feel the same as I do now after their surgery (I don’t have any photo of before surgery but they were tiny).

Awww I feel like you really need to personally email your surgeon ☹️ Can’t see the photo but I would be frustrated if I was in your position did anyone go through the things to do if you’re not satisfied with the result

There is no fault with his work, it’s just the size that I’m not happy with.

I attached the photo, dont know why you cant see it.

Ahhh just seen it they do look beaut but I can tell you that I know when they’ve settled and been in the new size for a while there will be capacity for bigger implants as your skin has stretched naturally

I don’t know how it works, but when I was breast feeding my boobs were twice this size so I know there is capacity with the skin to be stretched but don’t know if it can accommodate the implants.
I just want to know how long I have to wait before go for revision 🙁 and already wasting money for this little boobs, I’m hoping the revision is not more expensive than the 1st surgery.

after a year i still feel mine are small but when I look at how they were at start it’s a big difference so wait at least a year as they change so much. I know how u feel tho

I know I was once flat but when I think I spent thousands and went through the surgery, etc. to get from no-boobs to small-boobs, I want to cry 🙁

Hey, we have exactly the same stats. 8 stone 6, 5ft 6 and a size 6. I was also a 32a before but has skin there due to having children. I’m now a 32e and had 400cc so o definitely think you could go bigger! Although the do look amazing and suit your frame really well. I’m not sure it would be classed as revision as it’s the size your unhappy with and there’s not actually anything wrong. I think you’d have to pay full price for a whole new boob job and I’d say maybe speak to a surgeon on the length of time you have to wait! Good luck xx

Hi, I feel exactly the same so I deffo feel for you. I had new implants and an uplift. I’d waited 10+ years to fund this. I’m 4 week- nearly po and they’re no where near the size I wanted. I showed loads of pics of what I was after and told yeah. It’s not a problem. I’m not a mya patient. I already had a small implant in when I tried a 325 sizer- rice bag and was happy. It’s only now that I’ve come to realise it’s the 325 sizer plus my old implant gave me that look. Plus I went under the muscle whereas beforehand I was under. I am naturally an a cup and with my previous implant maybe a b cup due to breastfeeding etc. I too was a lot bigger when I breathed. I’m also questioning revision cus although my scarring is great the size for me isn’t. It’s only been a few weeks but I can’t see me going up another 2 cup sizes. It’s very frustrating so I deffo feel for you. I just can’t afford it again and I don’t think they do a free revision for being unhappy with the size. xx

@nataliejanex unfortunately it’s a very expensive surgery, sorry that you’re going through the same thing 🙁
I’m hoping MYA has better finance options than the place I did my first surgery.
The other annoying thing is that I have to wait a year for revision. I dont want big boobs, I think I would be just happy with a size bigger. So I’m also worried that in a year I would feel that going back there to change 325 with 400 implant would be silly and waste of money! I wish I picked the correct size first time :((

I attached photos of week 4 and week 5, they keep changing (same size though) and to me one seems to be already dropped!

    Hey girls – im 6 weeks post surgery…im 5’7, 9st 10 And i went with 400cc HP unders. I was a 32B before.

Honestly before the surgery i was concerned (but also quite excited) that 400cc would be massive on me but I’m also disappointed…..i am filling 32DD bras but mine look tiny compared to my friends who have natural 32Ds and in clothes i look no different at all unless i wear the triple padded primark bras ive worn for the last 10 years but i didnt pay thousands to still have to wear them 🙁 I thought I would look amazing braless in vests and unpadded bras and id look lovely and curvy but you would literally think i was a B/C if you didnt know i was fitting into DD – disappointing but i do love the shape!

just dont think theres enough information given to people about sizes as there seems to be so many girls in the same situation post op.

I had tried on a wrap top last week and that made me think not only I’m not happy with the size but also not happy with the way they look! I then went to Victoria secret and bought some of their ‘add 2 cup’ bras, to at least make me feel better about the size, but I just looked ridiculous when I tried them on. So I think maybe we have to wait couple of months and stop looking at them until they fluff and drop and get more natural.

I am in the same boat as all of you. I was convinced that 275cc mod+ would be the perfect size for me but now I see it actually small for my frame. 6-7 weeks post op only and seriously thinking on revision surgery 😢 I would love to know if anyone with MYA has managed re augmentation for free and how.
