So after years of wanting a BA I’ve finally bit the bullet and booked surgery.
I’m booked for the 20th of December in Preston with Dr Mounir, and I’m having 275-300 unders.
I’m excited but also pretty scared about post op pain and time off work, because it’s just before Christmas and New Year I have two weeks off but I’m starting to worry it won’t be long enough.
I work as a dental hygienist so it’s all very arm related and I’m not sure whether at two weeks post op whether I’ll actually be able to lift my arm to reach the light let alone 8 hour days.

If anyone could give me any advice or let me know how their recovery was I’d really appreciate it. If I need to book extra time off or find someone to cover me I’ll need a decent amount of time to do it and I don’t want to end up having to cancel patients a few days before if I don’t feel up to it.

Hello, I’m 3wpo and I’ve been back at work from 16dpo. I’m a hairdresser and I had unders, I think you’ll be fine with 2wks off.
I would recommend on your second week off that you start going on some walks etc to start getting back on your feet and ease yourself back into society lol.
My recovery was not as bad as I anticipated, I was so scared I was going to be in horrendous pain but in all honesty it was completely bearable. More aches and discomfort rather than pain. I took my pain killers for a week.
I hope this helps, good luck 🙂 x

That’s really reassuring! I’ve definitely been worry about it a lot especially after reading some people’s comments saying they took 3 or more weeks off
I’ll definitely make sure I keep myself moving for the second week ????
What size did you have? I’m not sure whether the size would make a difference to the pain and recovery ????

Hi Emily i agree with Laura I think you’ll be absolutely fine after two weeks. Try and find the happy medium between resting and keeping active in the first week to ease yourself in. I had 350 unders and I’m a farmer and I was back at work at day 8, then I got kicked, squashed and fell over in my first week back haha whoops! 🙂 I thought I’d trashed them but my nurse was really happy with them at 6 weeks and said if anything being so active had helped my recovery. Obviously everybody is different and recovery times vary but I honestly think you’ll be fine. Hope this helps lovely xxx

I had 400cc hp and I was pretty much flat chested so quite a stretch ha!
The beginning of the second week when I started getting back on my feet I was very lethargic so definitely remember to ease yourself back to normal before going back to work. After a day or two back at work you’ll be in the swing of things again.
Enjoy lounging for your first week, start a new series! 🙂

I think my recovery was on the more painful end of the scale compared to some, and I would say 2 weeks you’ll be fine. I was still a little delicate and tired at 2 weeks. I went back to work at 12 days po and was fine to drive and everything. Work did exhaust me but physically I was more than capable. I wouldn’t stress yourself at all over it. Those first few days are hard but by day 6/7 I was feeling so much better. Good luck with your op and don’t stress x
