just a few questions before I book my consultation later today…

How much tissue is “enough” for overs?

Also, finance… do you pay the deposit & the rest monthly or after surgery or?

    TIA xxx

I don’t know about finance as I didn’t go with mya, but I had overs and I was an A cup before. Your surgeon will be able to recommend what is best for you, some people don’t even have the option to get overs it all depends on your stats xxx

Hi honey, in terms of what you’ve got to qualify for overs is totally down to your surgeon and what you’re trying to achieve.. I personally didn’t even get the option for overs but then sometimes I see some girls before pictures who have had overs and I think they didn’t even have ‘as much’ as me start with and they look absolutely great! And then finance – you have to pay your minimum deposit (£500) upfront regardless of what finance route you take but then you can either source your own finance company, or use the one that MYA are linked to, it all depends on your credit history and what amount you’re allowed over what period of time. Or you can pay half upfront and then the other half at 0% over 10 months. Or you can try and wing them as a Christmas present as I successfully managed to haha! Hope this helps xxx

@jsmily Oh that’s really helpful!! thank you.. I want to get them done this time next year as of work and time off etc but i feel its too early to go for a consultation?? Really unsure what to do! xxx

@charlottebuncex Is it heck too early…go and get it done gorgeous! When you book a date you have to pay your deposit there and then as they can’t hold a date for you without payment, but if you did book it now you’ve got plenty of time to either save up and pay your balance just before your op, or source a good finance option for when you’ve had them done. If you ring up and book an intial meeting with a Patient Coordinator then you’ll know straight away how you feel about it and the process and what to do next, but my advice is to just go for it and you won’t look back xxx

I was a small 32b prior to surgery – 5ft 8 8st 9 I had 430cc overs currently a 32E I think not actually been measured yet but I had my 6 week all clear today so I’ll be shopping very soon!
I was rather shocked I had enough tissue for overs but I think having had 2 kids helped with that. Your surgeon will advise as to what’s best for you….my surgeon actually gave me the option of both 🙂
Is there any particular reason you are wanting overs? Xx

    Thank you ladies!!
Can I book a date for months in advance then as most i see are having them done 6/8 weeks after first consultation??

Overs purely for recovery because i haven’t seen any unders/overs that are any different? xxx

As many said for overs it depends on what breast tissue you already have. Where as me I have hardly no great tissue at all and barely filling an A cup! So I’m going under the muscle. But he no choice what so ever. With finance that I was looking at. If you want the 0% interest you have to pay half of what your procedure will cost and then pay x amount a month after surgery. If you didn’t have half the deposit MYA have a finance Calcutator on here to see what your deposit will be, how much you will pay a month after surgery and what the interest will be on what you can afford a month. For finance options if you are doing it your self. You’re more likely to get accepted with a good credit rating. Mine is awful!! So I’ve had to book my surgery for a later date and use MYA piggy bank. Xxx

@sineadviolet what do you mean by awful?? I’ve never had a credit card/loan etc only direct debits so how would they check mine?? XXx

I’ve done the 0% finance option, I had to pay £2500 to book the operation date with my surgeon and then I pay £250 a month for 10 months (starting December 12th which will be a month after my op) x

@meganmariex oh that sounds better! I’ve never had a credit card/loan etc only direct debits so how would they check mine?? X

I’ve also got zero credit history haha, luckily my mum did it for me so it’s all in her name. Maybe see if there’s anyone you know who will be your guarantor?x

I just wrecked it by not paying phone bills / over draft on my bank was the main one. But direct payments do help your credit score 🙂 they just look into how much you earn a month as well xx

Hiya Charlotte I’m booked in for February I’m a small 34 b/a and my surgeon offered me 375 UHP overs, don’t think I’ve seen anyone on here my size getting the exact same Haha, I don’t know a lot about the finance but I’ve noticed on here a lot of girls have been turned down for the mya finance with having either no credit history or just bad credit. People seem to go for a loan from somewhere else or the mya piggy bank. I seen you mentioned about not getting yours done until this time next year, when I started on here at the start of this year I knew I wanted mine in Feb 2018 but couldn’t put my deposit down until the dates come out and they didn’t come out till the start of this month haha, so you’ll have plenty of time to save up or change your mind without loosing your deposit xxx

    Hi!
I had a consultation 2 year ago and I was going to go for overs. But I’ve had a baby since and lost a load of breast tissue after my pregnancy so my surgeon Dr Mounir said he’d only do unders (I was a very small 32B, I’m now barely an A cup). I knew myself that it would have to be under as there is literally nothing there now.

As for finance, I’m paying on an interest free credit card and setting up a standing order to pay that off before the interest free period ends. There’s a small charge for using a credit card but it will be cheaper than using their finance

    Good luck xx

@leahxxx Do you have to pay the deposit at the first consultation? Xxx

No hun your consultations are free unless you don’t turn up to one you’ve booked you get a charge. You only pay your deposit when you book your surgery date xxx
