    Hey girls,

I want to book my op… do you think 4.5 weeks post op is too soon to go abroad for the weekend? Thanks! 🙂 x

I think your meant to wait 6 weeks ? I’m sure that’s what they told me ? I’m 4 weeks post op and I don’t think I would feel comfy yet in bikinis ect , you need propper support for the first 6 -8 weeks in a sports bra xxx

you shouldn’t fly for 6 weeks and scars should be covered for up to a year to stop them from darkening in the sun x

I’m going on holiday on the 26th June I’ll be 10 weeks post op. My pc said it will be fine and to put total sun block out on my scars even though I’ll be keeping them covered x

It’s prob best to talk to your pc or surgeon. I was told different I was told not to go in the water for 6 weeks fly from 4 weeks and keep covered in the sun or use sunblock. I will be 12 weeks post op for our family holiday so needed to make sure before I booked a date xx

Hey you can fly short haul from 4 weeks (long haul at least 6 weeks) due to increased risk of DVT while flying. However you wouldn’t be able to go in the sea/ pool and should generally avoid exposing your chest to the sun before 6 weeks xx
