Hi, so I have reached 3 months post op now and intended to make this review as when I was searching online/this forum I could not find many information on trans patients. Hoping this will help someone else out :-). So I got my BA on 9th October and it was the best decision of my life. The surgery and the treatment were excellent.

However in full disclosure I am going to be completely honest, I had a bit of a bad experience prior to surgery. I got a phone call the day before surgery saying it was going to be cancelled due to not having enough proof essentially that I was actually transgender – despite being on hormones for years, having a diagnosis of gender dysphoria and a letter from the gender clinic I receive.

Apparently this was all not enough and they wanted a GP letter or further proof I was transgender. This is an awful rule set in the UK that you cannot get feminising surgery without being treated for gender dysphoria – which has a waiting list of 3+ years. This can all be very frustrating waiting and a lot of the dolls go abroad to bypass this rule. I appreciate that this rule wasn’t Mya’s fault however they clearly waited until the day before surgery to check my medical record and access the documents I had provided, and it felt like I had to prove myself as a woman to them, and I was left scrambling for doctors letters myself with 24 hours until surgery and spent the entire day under the pretence that I would not be getting the surgery – after waiting so long for this you can imagine how devastated I was. It wasn’t until 7pm the night before that I got a confirmation from Mr Traynor that I would be getting the surgery if I wrote a disclaimer and signed it (saying that I am transgender) For this reason I’m not sure I’d recommend MYA for other trans patients as I have a friend that had a similar experience – unless you’re ready to jump through all the hoops.

That being said other than that I have absolutely nothing bad to say about MYA, I’m extemely happy with the results and everything from start to finish was great. I got amazing aftercare when a stitch refused to dissolve and I received weekly checkups until the problem was resolved. The nurses were all absolutely lovely and reassured me on the day of surgery and during the aftercare and were always there to answer any query’s. The consultations also went great and my PC answered any query’s I had along the way. Mr Traynor was very straight forward but told me realistic things to expect from my surgery.

The surgery itself was extremely painful for a few days but after 3 weeks I was back to normal – 3 months on I think they are feeling like mine and I am over the moon with the results. I went for 500cc high profile under the muscle as I wanted them to look a bit “fake” and I love the size, just wish I was a little bigger.

Stats for reference – 5’7 height, size 6/8, 500cc round high profile under the muscle.

I have attached a couple of photos.
Pic one – before and 10 minutes after surgery.
Pic two – 1 week post op – terrified they looked literally square and so hilarious – trust the process loooool
Pic three – 3 weeks post op so swollen wish they stayed this huge loool
Pic four and five – 2/3 months post op
Pic six seven and eight – 3 months post op

Overall I am extemely pleased with my results and would absolutely recommend them for cis women but would just say if you are transgender be very wary and well prepared.

I can’t see the pictures but am really pleased for you.
I have my surgery booked for the end of this month (3rd time lucky) and am very excited.
I was very up front about being trans with my initial inquiry to MYA. I know that we shouldn’t have to out ourselves but medically it’s best that they know from the start. The coordinator I met (Feb last year before any Covid) was respectful and suggested Mr Mileto as my surgeon due to his experience with other trans patients. I remember having to send copies of my diagnosis of gender dysphoria to them fairly early on. Before my medical records were sent over covid hit and my surgery cancelled. Having changed GPs due to a house move last summer I though there may be issues getting my medical records across but a phone call to MYA confirmed all the required documents etc are in place even if the “patient portal” doesn’t quite reflect this.

    Best for the future xx
