Uneven ribs

I had my first consultation and was told that my right rib is uneven compared to my left. He said that there is a high risk of the implant being noticeable to one side. I am having a second opinion with Mr Traynor on Tuesday but worried he’s going to say the same. Has anyone been told similar and still gone ahead with it and had positive results. I need some piece of mind, I didn’t even notice that they were uneven until I had the consultation. I’ve wanted my breasts enlarged for over 10 years, so to be told that they might turn out completely uneven is quite disheartening.

Hi, in my case it’s not because of ribs but because my sternum makes slightly the form of an S, before the op I had clearly one breast more to one side than the other and my surgeon, Mr Giannas, said maybe post op that asymmetry could be more noticeable as the breast would be bigger. Post op it’s safe to say I have no asymmetry at all.

In the pic maybe you can see he slightly drew over my sternum asymmetry.

Maria, yours look amazing. I have had my consultation with Mr Traynor and he said that he doesn’t see there being an issue. Obviously everyone has some sort of asymmetry, but it’s not as bad as I was previously told. Defiantly feel more at ease now after talking to him about my concerns.

Did you have under or over the muscle?

Hi, my surgeon told me that my left rib cage protrudes more than my right, and there is about 2cm or so difference between my breasts. I have had my surgery, and at the moment one looks even lower than the other. I am so early on in the healing process though, so really hoping a lot of change is yet to happen still. But I regret not asking more questions such as whether the asymmetry will be worse after surgery. I had 300cc in both breasts, and not sure whether having 300cc in one, and 275cc or 295cc in the other would have been better. Again, I won’t be able to tell until around 3-6 months time. But make sure to ask about how uneven they are, whether implants will amplify the asymmetry, and whether it’s worth say getting HP instead of moderate plus etc. I had mod plus as my surgeon said my rib cage will make them look stuck on with HP. I love the size of mine at the moment and moderate plus covers more base so recommend going for that option if you are concerned about the gap you may have between your breasts. Surgeons always know best, but I 100% recommend asking as many questions as you can about how the implants will affect things like asymmetry after surgery. Asymmetry is something that constantly pops up on the forum and wish I did more research beforehand xx

I’m trying not to scare myself by reading too many stories, but I can’t help but worry. I have asked my surgeon and he didn’t seem too concerned. I’m more worried about going back weight training after i’ve healed as he said that it could come away from the muscle, but he wants to go behind the muscle because i don’t have much skin/tissue.
How has the pain been for you?
Hopefully you’ll see them heal to how you want them, it’s so difficult as they will change constantly while healing.
I will defiantly ask more questions about it though.

Yes I heard that over the muscle implants are usually recommended for those into their fitness? Although I’m not 100% sure. At the end of the day they know best and do 1000s of these procedures. My advice is ask as many questions as possible
