Upset and annoyed

I have just found out I could have secured my surgery date by paying a deposit why wasn’t I informed of this at my consultation? I only noticed after reading the paperwork I was given thoroughly. I’ve got app on Thursday with Ms Lutz I assumed I had to book the surgery date with her!!! Now upset and annoyed i may have to wait a lot longer

You still can, you can ring and Book it over the phone. Have you met your surgeon yet?

I actually made a point of this at my first consultation as I knew I’d want it done around my a/l I was informed by my pc that if I had a date & surgeon In mind ( I was told a little about all surgeons offered & then researched. But this is where I felt a little rushed by myself to make a decision with the surgeon of choice) then I could only secsure it by paying my deposit. Luckily a couple of weeks I paid and secured. I don’t think they mentioned it in case you felt pressured to book Ect which other companies have done and have been given bad reviews solely for that reason. It’s a huge decision. But I hope you get the dates and surgeon you need. X

If you book at consultation it’s a £1000 deposit, if you book after meeting the surgeon it’s £500. They probably just didn’t want to pressure you, I asked at my consultation when I could book, and they let me there and then because I pushed for it and wanted a specific date. I don’t think it’s readily offered out at the initial; again, as to not pressure or rush you. If you paid £1000 after a 30 minute meeting, you could quite easily walk away and think you’ve made a mistake, or feel rushed. It won’t have been done negligently. After you meet the surgeon, you’ll see the PC straight after, so you can book then, I hope you get the date you want xxx

I see Ms Lutz on Thursday coming. I will give them a ring today see when I can get in x

Thank you everyone. Hopefully I can get my surgery date today but after reading in the forum some women are booked in end of June I fear I may have missed my opportunity before my holiday in September

I’ve booked end of June. I was given 3 dates throughout June that Mz lutz was available, but I am day stay so you may have more choice than I did. X

Thanks Megan I am just waiting for my PC to call me back. I could have got in 24th April if I’d have known but thought I had to wait to see my surgeon first hence why I’m gutted x
