Hi Chloe, when I got my lips done I bruised badly too. I only realised after getting them done there were things I could do to prevent this, such as:
2 weeks Prior: avoid fish oil and vitamin E tablets (I wore vitamin E cream on the day – BAD idea – which contributed to the bruising) and avoid alcohol, all of these thin the blood and make blood vessels weaker, hence the bruising.
Up to 1 week After: avoid alcohol, extreme weathers, hot fluid, kissing and exercise. All can cause more swelling and bruising.
Hope this helps for future injections!

For the op, arnica tablets will help, take them both (1week) before to prevent and (however much you need) after the op to reduce the bruising. In addition if you get any bloating take charcoal tablets after the op! Also (just in case) get some Aloe Vera gel to prevent stretch marks on your boobs.
    Good luck! x

Ive found lots of fab websites with what not to take before and what to take after and vice versa! This lady had made a list especially for BA.

I’m going to try arnica, but I took it for a week before I had my lips done and still ended up with a decent bruise worse than the time before when I had taken nothing! Caffeine can affect bleeding/bruising too so try and avoid the day before x

I’m personally not bothering with arnica, I read so many posts on those saying it doesn’t work. I’ve looked into it online and seems many studies state the same and if anything more of a placebo effect. Its classed as an anti-inflammatory so I’m not sure even why it’s allowed, maybe because its natural x x

My nurse actually told me they ask you to stop taking any vitamins etc 2 weeks before. I took arnica tablets the stronger ones, from op day post op onwards and by the time my one week strapping came off I didn’t have a single bruise and in general I bruise like a peach. Currently covered in random bruises from the gym I suppose haha maybe I should get back on the arnica!

I bruised alot when i got my lips done but didn’t have one single bruise with my BA. So don’t worry not because your lips bruised then everything else should, lips are much more sensitive, they are the most delicate skin tissue in your entire body besides skin around your eyes. You will be fine don’t worry xx
