    Hi everyone,

I had 275cc HP unders and I have like this weird rubber band over my dressings, I’ve not seen it on anyone else’s pictures and just wondering if they put it on anyone else and if anyone knows why?xx

I am assuming your stitches are under your breasts and i am also assuming your doctor has allowed you to shower thats why he has that waterproof rubber band above your stitches. For me i wasn’t allowed to shower for 11 days because of my aerola stitches and then he placed something like yours all over my breasts where my stitches are and asked me to shower with it to prevent as much water as possible from reaching my stitches and then he asked me to remove it and pat dry slowly

Hi I had the same band, they took it off at my 1 week po appointment. As the post above states I was able to shower after a few days with it on 🙂 x

I had Mr Traynor and Iv never seen him use strapping before. Maybe it’s so you can shower since it’s christmas and your post op appointment is maybe a bit later than it would normally have been lol xx

I had the same strapping all over for my unders. Don’t think it was waterproof so I’d double check with your surgeon rather than going from what’s been said on here!!!!
I wasn’t allowed to get it wet and couldn’t shower until it was taken off!!! X

    Hi there 🙂
I had Dr Traynor too and I have this bandage I had disolvable stitches and so this bandage is an extra precaution to stop mine getting wet I think

    Hi Lucy,
Yea mine was dr Traynor 🙂 I’m just going to carry on not getting it wet and see what the nurse says at my post op! I feel better now I know he has put it on someone else too 🙂 xx

Yes definitely double check as we may all have been told different things. I only had shallow baths and one very quick shower whilst I still had it on (but as I say this was a few days post op)x
