    Hi Ladies,

I have my procedure at the New Victoria Hospital on Monday – eek! I was just wondering if I need to pack anything other than change of clothes, phone (and charger), magazines and toiletries? I’m guessing that I don’t need pj’s, dressing gown and slippers as I’m not staying in overnight?

    Many thanks

Hi, how exciting! I’m not a Mya patient so it may differ with them slightly (timing etc) But i was a day case in at 9am. I just went in loose button up shirt, joggers, and slip on shoes. I took my phone, charger, and a dressing gown and that was it! They provided a gown and slippers and I wasn’t sat around waiting much before the op. After the op I was ‘away with the fairies’ from the drugs they gave me, so not sure I’d have been able to sit and read anything 😆 Op was done by 12, on my way home by 2.
I’m 11 dpo now and very happy! Wishing you the best of luck! X

I’m also a day case Saturday but at Preston. I’m going in a comfy loungewear set and slippers, and taking my phone and charger, a book, a protein bar (for the drive home) and my surgical bra. My sister recommended taking my pillow for in the car to shield me from the seatbelt and I’ll take a blanket too cos the anaesthesia can make you cold and shivery.

I live in London but having my surgery in Preston First Trust Hospital. Would you recommend getting a taxi home or the train I’m not sure what to do
