What to take to the hospital with you??

Strange question girls.. they say take comfy clothing but would you take a zip up hoodie or something that you can just put over your head? Not sure how stiff or sore you are straight after so didnt want to risk taking a hoodie and not being able put it on.

My op is on 27, I’ve been told nothing over the head because I won’t be able to life my arms up, got a couple of shirts x

Definitely take zip up jackets/tops your post bra and some slippers. Pillows for the car journey home @emma

Is it compulsory to stay overnight in hotel before heading home? I live about 3 and a half hours drive from the hospital and was going to travel there and back the same day as op. I know I’m going to be sore so want my own bed! Any advice?

I was told if you live more than an hour away stay local Just incase, in the unlikely event you need to go back but I guess that’s more up to yourself.

@cheryl123 I’m 2DPO and my op was at Preston 2 1/2 hrs drive and was advised to stay close just in case and as much as I was ok and prob could have drove back home it was reassuring I was close by.. the hotel was only £39 xx
