I have my op this time next week!!!!! Omgawwwd

Just wondering what I should wear to and from the hospital. I assume something that zips up the front so I don’t need to lift my arms. And what do I take to the hospital? Is there anything I need to know?

Will I be able to put a bit of make up on my face after the op? And do my eyebrows? Or will they not let me?

Will I be allowed to wear socks when I go into theatre?

Lol sorry for the random questions xxx

I wore tracksuit bottoms afterwards and a zip up hoody. Never wore a top underneath. You have to wear knee high surgical socks when you go into theatre and for about five days afterwards. I never put make up on afterwards but I don’t see any reason on why you wouldn’t be aloud 🙂 think other girls have. Just take some snacks for afterwards, maybe a magazine, phone charger, slippers and dressing gown if you want too, and your bra for afterwards 🙂 xx

I wore joggers and button up pyjama night gown as i was going straight to the hotel and to sleep haha. I dont think they would stop you putting makeup on but wether you will be able to lift your arms up to actually do it is what you may struggle with. I defo wouldnt have been able to put my brows on! The cast your speaking of will be strapping. Some surgeons require you to be strapped up for a week then a sports bra after thats been took off x

Ah some surgeons use strapping so they don’t need a bra for the first week. I had Mr Traynor and he doesn’t use that so I had my bra. Take one just incase, some girls pop them on over the strapping 🙂 xx

    Hi Hun.

I had mine sunday. I had strapping on and still needed a post op bra over the top. I did my make up after surgery too. No reason why you can’t 🙂 if you feel able too then go for it.

You won’t be allowed to wear socks as you’ll have stockings on to prevent clotting.

I wore my lounge wear 2 piece to the hospital and leggings & a button up top for home xx

Thank you! That’s really helped! I think i’ll take a bra in case. A zip up one I think would be best!

I packed my makeup with good intentions of applying my face before going home but honestly it was the last thing I was thinking about I was in far too much pain to even pull my knickers down for a wee never mind lifting my arms anywhere near my face. You’ll be best in comfy bottoms I wore leggings, and a zip up hoodie without a t-shirt underneath. You’ll be wearing those beautiful green support stocking things for surgery. Take your post surgery bra with you I had to wear mine over the strapping. Good luck with your surgery xx
