    Hi girls,

My op is Wednesday and I haven’t packed a bag and I really don’t feel organised enough for it!

What did you all pack and was there anything you found that made your post op time easier that you don’t think you could cope without??

I’m thinking of ordering a support bed wedge to help me sleep as I normally sleep on my side or curled as a ball! So dreading these upright nights!

    Many thanks

I took my V pillow and it helped so much. After that bra / toiletries / pjs / dressing gown / slippers and clothes for the next day (if you staying over) things that are zip up or button up xxxxx

I was a day case in hospital and I took dressing gown, slippers, phone,
Phone charger. I travelled home in the outfit I went in which was joggers and a zipped hoodie and I took two post surgery bras and a drink. I also took a magazine. My V shape pillow has been a god send at
    Home and zipped hoodies.
Good luck for your op 🙂 xx

I found at home a hot wheat pillow that goes in the microwave for around my neck. And a hot water bottle for my back. Then a sippy cup with a straw just my top essentials post op lol. Ice packs at least 3 and gel ones if possible. I was just a zombie those first few days. I also ordered all my meals through a meal prep company so ready meals or something are really handy. I found even having help I felt less of a burden just saying bung that in the microwave. And after the first few days I could easily do it myself. Just prepare to do absolutely nothing for 4/5 days. Totally relax and let your body heal. Honestly you don’t need much. Just imagine you’ll basically be a T. rex so things need to be close, sitting up is hard work so just prop yourself up on the sofa sippy cup and a packet of biscuits in reach (ginger ones great for sickness) and you’ll be grand!
