    Hi ladies,
I’m 8DPO now and feeling good! Can do most things without help now, just obviously avoiding any heavy lifting! My right boob is still more tender and I get a few stabbing pains every now again but that one is still slightly higher and needs to drop! My question is when does the tight feeling go? Although I feel much more comfortable now, I still feel like my boobs are going to burst out of my body at any given opportunity ha! More so on the right side! I now I’m only early days but just curious really xx

I’m 15 dpo and my tightness started rapidly decreasing from around day 8 onwards so hopefully you’ll see the difference soon! It hasn’t stopped in the morning/at night though but during the day I feel pretty much normal! I no longer feel like my boobs are going to fly out when I sneeze or cough haha. Xx

@clare141 That is the worst! I sneezed yesterday and felt like my right boob was gonna pop!! Can’t wait for morning boob to piss off too, it’s so uncomfortable. Xxx

@clare141, @lily I am exactly the same: yesterday I sneezed for the first time and I thought both my boobs would pop ????

Hang in there ladies you’ll be feeling fab soon I’m sure! I feel so much more normal than I did and only 17dpo. The whole sneezing thing gets easier but I encountered it more than I should yesterday.. I’m really allergic to cats and nipped round to a friend’s house without taking my tablets (completely forgot and she has 3 cats)…. had a few huge sneezes and was literally holding my chest!! She must have thought I was mental as this is a friend that doesn’t know about my op! Haha.

Alison are your boobs feeling less like rocks now? Mine feel much more apart of me now thank goodness.

Teresa, well done for getting out! It does get easier and those little trips will start to become longer as you go along. I was out for about an hour on day 5 and had to go back for a 2 hour nap! All i did was sit in a cafe and eat cake lol! Xx

@clare yes I had strapping removed yesterday so I felt better but also afraid to move too much now as I am thinking I have now less support! Just leaving my boobs hanging there for 30 seconds while changing bra feels very odd. Did you have the same? Glad yours feel part of you, must be such a nice feeling!
Haha the story of the cat was hilarious xD thanks for sharing it with us – like your reassuring message xx

Haha I will definitely remember my tablets next time!

Yes I know the feeling! It felt like they would drop off! It still feels a little strange when I change bras/ shower, like a ‘release’ feeling. It was reassuring when I saw my surgeon at 2wpo. He asked me to put my arms up to check mobility and straight away he said ‘ I think you can go higher than that’. I could a little bit but not much further. He completely summed up my anxiety about them and basically said I can tell you’re really worried about hurting yourself, causing problems with them etc but they’re not going anywhere, they’re not going to pop out of you… they’re in there now and you’re fine! So that really helped and 2 wpo was probably a turning point in my mobility as I was trying things more and only stopping if it actually hurt me not just when I had the stretching feeling. Since then I’ve been a lot more mobile xx
