    Hi ladies,

So I have had my op exactly 2 months today and was wondering when people would start feeling their nipples again?

Honestly its the weirdest feeling – I feel like if someone cut them off with a blunt knife, i wouldnt even bat an eyelid.

I am hoping its something to do with the drop & fluff process; i.e once they drop into position, they wont be as pressed against my nipples? … secretly I am hoping it is all related as im praying for an exceptional amount more of drop and fluff to happen (especially fluff!!!) so if I still cant feel my nipples, I know theres a lot more D&F to be done yet.

If anyone could share their experience pretty please x x

    Hi shauna,

I am only 2 weeks post op and have all my feeling back however they feel really sore to touch! I know everyone’s different so maybe just give it time I did hear it can take a long time for some people 🙂

Hi shauna , I think it just depends on the surgeon and your body , as I’m now 1 month post op but I never lost sensation at all mine became extra sensitive but I hear that it can take a while you get them back .

I’m 8 weeks post op and I still have no nipple sensation, also can’t feel below the nipple either. It’s like the whole bottom half of my boobs are numb xx

Hi Lois, do you think that your boobs have changed much since surgery?

… Aside from mine maybe dropping slightly and not looking like they sit on my chin, i dont really think mine have changed at all really and I am starting to wonder whether that has had an impact on my nipple sensations (or lack of!) xx

For those that still have numbness do you also have swelling? I’m only 3 days post op and my breasts are not sore but numb and shaped like rockets with rounded swollen nipples.. the rocket shape is kind of freaking me out lol

    Hi Jess,

Dont worry about it, i had exactly that for a good 7 weeks after my op. (first photo is 1 day PO).

Its only been the past week or so (10 weeks PO) where I am starting to see them return to a normal circular shape (second photo).

They will change ever so much over the upcoming weeks .. my numbness is still present and is slowly starting to return on one nipple but not the other as of yet xx

I am 8 years post op and there are still parts of my boobs I can’t feel. Mainly the bottom part of my areola and the underside of my boob.
