Will counselling for anxiety affect my surgery? Started by: Chelsea

    Hi girls.

My pc told me about the meds rules, how you have to have been on them 6 months and on the same dose for 3 months for medicines, particularly for the ones I take for my anxiety. I will be fine in this instance as I have been on my meds six months and will have been on the same dose for 3 months when I have my op.

What I’m worried about now is, I’m on a waiting list for counselling about my anxiety, I’m handling it very well and I don’t think I really need the counselling anymore. Will this affect whether I can still have my surgery. ? Or is it just medicines that this rule applies to?

    Thanks. Xx

So they won’t cancel my surgery or anything because of it?

Just was worried cos I had to be on or off meds for 6 months and was wondering whether the same rule would apply to counselling x
