Im 6dpo today an to be honest apart from abit of aching and the tightness in the first few days, i have had quite an easy ride! But last night was a nightmare! I had my strappingoff yesterday an my surgeon reccomends these maximum support bras from matalan, well it felt quite comfortable up until i went to bed, im still sleeping elevated, an honestly th band part was just cutting into me so badly i tried everything to relive the pressure an did manage a few hours but really dont want this every night! What would you do? Should i get a sports bra to wear while im sleeping do you think? Xx

Ohhh no hunni sorry to hear that I had a very bad night last night but was looking forward to having my strapping off next Tuesday till I just read this……I did wonder if the band on them bras would be a problem, have you tried putting some cotton pads under the band part? not sure if it will work but I’d heard it somewhere before xx

I had this at around 7DPO I just put the bra on a looser hook for when I was in bed xx

I did put some padding under but it didnt help much was really painful probably the most pain i have had all week! An i already have it on the last hook an it feels fine while stood up my surgeon checked it an said it was fine not too tight but once i lay down it digs in me xx

Thanks hunni and I don’t know why I slid down because first night I didn’t move at all….I did rearrange my pillows yesterday so maybe it was that just praying it doesn’t happen again tonight xx

Sorry to hear abt the pain 🙁 have you got a Macom post op bra? They’re very comfortable and do up in the front. Pricier than some of the other options available but I do think it’s worth it xx

Been told to just get the next back size up again… not happy with that really because this one isnt tight so i dont see how its going to help to get the next one up to be honest its just going to be looser on my boobs which will be less suportive for them. I felt like taking it off and sleeping without anything on them last night! Surely a sports bra has got to be better than that! Stressed now because im already dreading bed tonight an im shattered after last night xx

Dvrue, no i hadnt bought one because my surgeon doesnt reccomend them hes really against them. They look so comfy though im tempted to get one for night at least xx

Hope you have a better night tonight mitch xx

Thanks laura I hope you do too…..and that’s not very helpful like you say it’s not tight it’s just digging in when u sleep…..I think I might just buy a sports bra incase I know Mr kazzazi really doesn’t like them but it’s hard enough to sleep and we need some sort of support if only to wear during night? xx

    Laura 143
    143p
    Menu

Yeah im thinking of just getting one, i didnt really want to go against his advice but like you say its hard enough to sleep elevated when your used to sleeping in much comfier positions so then to be in pain like that last night an hardly get any sleep i dont want that each night 🙁 an i think a sports bra would be more supportive than buying a looser bra dont you? Xx

Yes I agree the bigger the bra the less support it gives….I don’t know if it’s normal but I’m in agony hun this last half hour getting shooting stabbing pains in my chest did you have this? omg I’m normally really good with pain this is unreal today xx

Sorry to hear you had a crap night Laura!! Hope your feeling bit better now!!
I’m thinking of getting a sports bra too as I’ve read many girls continue to wear them st night etc even after the 6 weeks.
Any ideas which one you gunna go for? Xx

    Laura 143

    Menu

Yeah i definitely think i will get one just not sure which to go for but the macom seems to be the most used one that people talk about on here so i might get one of those only trouble with that is it wont help me tonight because you order them online an they are expensive especially if you want them quick because next day delivery is ridiculas but for you you wouldnt need it so fast because you still have your strapping on till next week. Mitch do you mean like a sharp pain as you breath in deeply, feels like its all the way through your chest, if so i did have that it used to come and go randomly but really sharp and painful. I still get it a little but not as much as the first few days xx

Apprently the ones from Asda are good and lots of people use those?! Maybe worth having a look at those? Or if you live near an Asda try them? Even if just for Tonight. Think it’s only like £8 for two xx

It was constant laura like some1 had stuck a knife in my chest and was pulling it in and out…sounds a bit dramatic but only way I can explain it. I took a very strong pain killer so it’s easing off now thank God. I don’t think I’m gunna bother with a macom bra just looking online for a good sports bra. Trouble he doesn’t like front fastening ones but id of thought they would be a lot easier to get on and off xx

This one. I’ve got it in black and white! My pre op size was 32B and I’m currently wearing 34E. I had 400cc just to give you an idea. A lot of girls seem to wear these and my nurse said it was a good bra when I took it on surgery day. Xx

You can get them online only, get some gel ice packs and put under where it digging you! Ohh I am afraid how my m&s sport bra will fit to me as I have have tried it before op and it was quite tight….let me know how you feel xx

I wear the shock absorber D+ I got it off a website called wiggle and it was £19.99 and came next day, I prefer this to my M&S ones because although the M&S ones are comfy I don’t feel the support me enough xx

I have just ordered the m&s one now so i hope it will fit ok. I will have a look at that one cath, thankyou. Lydia it was horrible i couldnt wait to get my strapping off then the first night without it i was in so much pain i wanted my strapping back lol i do already have some asda post op bras but the cup size is a little lose i got the wrong size. I have bought more bras in the last week than i have in years an i dont even kniw what size i am properly yet xx

I got a 36dd mitch and i fill that out fully its tottaly snug to my boobs its a really good fit so i just ordered the same size in that m&s bra. Just hoping it fits now. This bra im in the cups look absolutley huge miles bigger than my boobs so was suprised how well it fits but i have no idea if we will go up in size with fluff and drop or if we go down in size because of the swelling people say different so just going to have to wait and see on that one but i think i will be abit gutted if i go down i did say i was wanting an e or dd at least xx

@mitchx do you have a photo of How your boobs are looking now? How’s the 36D fitting on you at the moment? i would have probably suggested the 36D (as logically it would make you a true 34DD) but if your surgeon said DD go with him.

Im not sure its hard to know isnt it, i have struggled myself with what size to get. My m&s ones (ordered 2 probs a daft idea when i dont know the size lol) they are getting delivered tomorrow an i got the same size as the matalan bra im wearing so i can let you know tomorrow if that helps xx

I think trying to get the painkillers right is difficult. I seem to have cracked it so far today have been taking them at different stages over the day and have not had too much pain. It’s the mornings I’m dreading. But gunna set my alarm early tomos and have some tramadol I think.
I too have cone boobs @mitch hahahah good job I’m not really leaving my bed! They look proper triangles! Nips are also so puffy and squished lol look all shined and weird lol
