Hi girls is it normal to still get pains at around 4 weeks post op. My left boob has always been the more painful boob I keep getting sharp pains around the bottom area around the incision area and going up the central cleavage area of my left boob.

My incisions look ok and I can’t see any swelling, perhaps it’s just nerves but it’s slightly worrying. My ribs still feel really sore and bruised too just under my boobs. Surely if something was wrong like an infection you’d be able to see noticeable issues or not?

My nipples are super sensitive too and hurt to touch more so again on the left and also hurts around the side of my boob to touch.

    xx

Ah, I think its still quite early days for you, although I know I am hoping that by 4 weeks my aches and pains will have gone, so I can imagine it is worrying. But from reading other girls stories it can take months and months for them to heal so 28 days is still relatively early. We don’t see our surgeons again until 12 weeks post op because they want to see us when the surgery has settled down, so I think hun its just taking time for your body to adjust and for your nerves to knit back together. I am sure they will settle down eventually and it will all be worth it.
Sending you lots of happy healing vibrations xx

Thank you @beckis ye it is probably all normal, when you start to feel more “normal” you forget that you’ve had quite a drastic surgery and you’re going to feel pains for a while! Thanks again lovely x

@giraffequeen it must be normal then 🙂 ! Ye the nipple sensitivity really hurts and almost spreads out pain outwards. I think the sports bra being tight also doesn’t help with the pain. The shooting pains are probably nerve related, I just got worried about infection but i’d probably be in much more pain if that was the case and everything seems to look ok. I hope you feel better soon

    Hi Girls

Thank goodness you are going through this too! I am now 8 days post op and this started with me yesterday! I haven’t had my dressings off yet, this is happening tomorrow however every now and again I get like an electric shock pain exactly where the incision is and slightly up one side of one of my boobs! Was starting to really worry me! I’ve looked online and it says it can either be where there nerves are knitting back together or it could be that where the surgeon has stitched he had stitched over a nerve! I’m going to ask about this tomorrow at my post op however I can’t really see there being anything much they can do about it! 🙁 I just want my boobs to feel normal now!! x
