Hello, I had my consultation with my surgeon yesterday and have booked my surgery for the 15th May.
My surgeon is Dr. Fiumara as she apparently is very good in achieving a natural looking pair of boobies! she has suggested that I will need an uplift and will also be having implants (L- 325 & R- 250 overs )She explained that my breasts are also slightly tubular. I am a tad nervous as they correct the nipple too, so I will be having quite a lot of work done and just wondered if anyone has been in the same boat and have any photos of before and after and how their scarring looks now? and also if anyone has had Dr Fiumara and what they thought?
    Thanks! x

Hey hun! Try not to worry Dr Fiumara is amazing I had her in early Dec for a ba with mini uplift which involved cutting and lifting my nipples. I’m 12 weeks post op and really pleased with my results.
I had 325 mod plus unders and stayed overnight at the Fitzroy.

I too was concerned about scarring but Dr Fiumara is a real perfectionist and her incisions are tiny and very neat – she is renowned for her very neat stitch work and achieving the natural look ask any of the Mya staff.

I have started to use a silicone gel that Dr Fiumara reccomended by kelo cote to help bring down the pink colour and lighten it too. Which gets really good reviews online.

Feel free to add me if you want to see my journey. You have made an excellent choice in surgeon so try not to worry much you’re in great hands

Fran yours look amazing! if you don’t mind me asking what size were you before and what size are you now? they look great! A lot of girls on here have got unders which also worried me as shes suggested overs for me :/ she was very nice in the consultation and shes a very quite person, lovely! but very quite haha I have heard really good things about her ops and how much of a perfectionist she is which is obviously perfect 🙂 Another thing that worried me was a few girls saw a few surgeons before making a decision, but it was suggested to me that i do go with her due to the natural look she achieves. Can i also ask, how long did you take off work? I am only allowed to take off 7/8 days so im really hoping that will be enough. Thanks! 🙂

Hey hun thank you so much really appreciate ur compliments. Pre op I was a 30c and 12wks later I’m a 28FF. Don’t worry at all about other getting unders there are many reasons including how much tissue you have, ur age, thickness of ur skin and if you work out a lot!

The fact ur having overs means u have a good amount of tissue ans ur skin is suitable too! Overs take less time to heal so 7 days should be fine. Having extra things like an uplift means ur under for longer but I didn’t have any pain on my nipples they felt numb and one is still slightly less reactive than the other. I had quit my job a few and finished the weekend before my op so at that point so didn’t have to rush back to work and recovered over Xmas and into the new year. I started driving about 3/4 wks after the op and it felt awkward when I reversed and changed gears.

Some women see several surgeons but I had practically stalked all of Lindas work and career and knew I wanted her to do my proceedure even when she dropped the uplift “bombshell”. Like u I was worried about scarring and some of my so called mates at the time were scaring me and making me feel silly for booking it.

I did lots of research and just ignored them! My true mates have been really supportive and really impressed by how they’re healing. It’s honestly the best thing I’ve done and I’m so glad u had the mini uplift too as I think it made a lot of difference to my final outcome. I only realised looking back on my pre op boobs how low they were and they would have been much lower had I not lifted them. Fxx

Shes suggested a ‘mini lift’ on the left and a full lift on the right which to be honest i wasnt really shocked but i am concernes about the scarring but yours reallt do look great, ill have to load up on plenty of creams and things. Another thing she did mention was that if i lost any weight it would be noticeable with overs when i asked roughly how much she said roughly 1 stone! Which isn’t much! Im not wanting to loose weight but i am currently going to the gym a lot and trying to build muscle! Hoping that wont make them look stuck on!

    Hi Polly,
I’m so glad I saw your post as I’m in the exact same position as you! I’m having 275cc and 350cc overs due to assymetry, I’m also slightly tubular and having a mini lift (modified mastopexy) with Dr Fiumara.
I was hoping for unders as I also want a really natural look but she said overs would be best due to the asymmetry etc.
I’m booked in for 24th April so I’ll add you and let you know what to expect etc! Xx

    Hi Polly,

I had severe tubular breasts and needed an uplift, reduction, implants (overs)and nipple correction. It was a huge procedure and I was in theatre for 6 hours after I had some complications but it all worked out fine! I think I underestimated the pain I would be in but after 10 days – 14 days I was SO much better! The thing I hated most was not being able to wash my own hair but apart from that the recovery process wasn’t too bad at all. It’s all worth it!

Thats relieveing to hear daisy! Yes please let me know haha thats so soon i bet you’re so excited! I was really worried about the overs but they’re the experts. The one thing that i think i forgot to mention also was that linda had also mentioned that with overs i might be able to feel the implant slightly :/ did she mention anything like this to you? Xx

C an you tell me for Uplift do you lose all feeling in your nipples? I am borderline and scared too have uplift as i do scar easily. I had it in my head though that an uplift would leave a vertical scar too, is that not the case? I know this sounds daft but what will be where your nipple was previously? Is this skin taken off?

@mia24 if u look in my pics on this thread u will see pre op the surgeon drew a circle around each nipple. The skin between the nipple ans the line is where the nipple will be repositioned. The nipple is cut and re-attached to where the line is. Dr Fiumara is very neat with all incisions and stitch work so if ur having her pls don’t be worried about the markings.

After 3months I started to use kelo-cote-scar-gel-15g whixh she reccomended to use for 12months to help fade my scarring which is pink but light. It’s not noticeable at all and I’m really happy with my results.

It’s a longer surgery having ur nipples moved amd usually involves an overnight stay. Hope that helps fxxx
