    Hey Ladies,

So I have had my up and down days prior to op day.. I have days where I am super excited and days where I am super nervous.
I was very happy with my second surgeon visit as I was undecided on size, so Dr M decided to order 3 different sizes in for op day to see what one suits me best.

The options given were 250cc, 275cc and 300cc. I have also enquired about 325cc but worried these may be too big.

Can anyone give me any advise on what to take with me on the day? Has anyone bought a back rest? if so where from? I have 2 macom bras which should be more than enough.

What can I expect on the morning of procedure day?

I am hoping my new boobs look as amazing as everyone’s on here..
I am going to remove my nail polish this evening and start to pack my day bag.. Also any advise on creams that I can use after surgery?

I will post some before and after snaps too.

Thanks to all those who read and reply.

    Zoe xx

Hi Zoe, good luck for Wednesday! I haven’t had my op yet so can’t offer much advice however you can buy the ‘bed wedge’ from amazon – I’ve heard the V pillows also come in handy. Xx

    Hi Zoe

When you get to the clinic and are shown to your room, the nurse will tell you where you are on the surgery list and provide a rough time for your op. While you wait they’ll do some basic checks. You may wanna take a book or some magazines. The anesthetis will pop in to see you to double check the info they have. The surgeon will see you before the op. Mine swung by 20 mins before, took some photos and then marked me up for the op.
It was a very relaxed and happy atmosphere on the day.
    Good Luck,
    L x

    Hi Zoe

Good luck today! 🙂 I have to say my whole day stay was lovely the staff the atmosphere they really make you feel at ease you really have nothing to worry about. Going down they get you all comfortable in theatre bring your pillows your all snug in your dressing gown and blankets. The whole putting you to sleep literally took minutes amazing. When they woke me up I was thinking no I was having such a lovely sleep lol I didn’t want to wake up.

I ended up having overs not unders but Mr M discussed with me before surgery and I agreed.
I must say honestly waking up didn’t feel any pain just tiny bit of a heavy chest but they kept me comfortable the whole day was amazing… I had my op about 930/10am woke up after 11 am they said it was 45 mins. Had nice chat with the theatre nurse just asked her sizes cc bits like that. Back to my lovely private room rest water tea and toast then just relaxed a bit.

Last night I got up feel bit faint and tiny bit sick at home about 3am but my whole stay at MYA I must say wat amazing. Just rest take it easy they tell you exactly what to do.

Just think of it as going to a nice Spa – good luck x

    Hi ladies,

So I had my surgery yesterday at 11am, I was brought back into recovery at 12.25pm. I had my own room which was great. I cannot thank the nursing staff enough all of which were so amazing. I managed to eat some toast And drink little sips of water. I was in pain which had to be managed with additional pain relief . I was not discharged until 9.30pm as it took a long while for me to recover.

Mr M gave me 300cc Round mods , under the muscle in each breast. At present I have the strapping on which comes off on the 18th January so I have no clue what my new boobs look like, I can only imagine for now. Then in week 2 my sutures will be removed.

I have the Macom bra on over the strapping too, I was advised not to wear the breast band so not wearing at present. I am very sore and tender, I’m unable to do anything right now which includes not being able to dress myself, go to the toilet, even sitting down is hard. I have been told this is normal.

I have also had to stop the pain killers as I have been getting atrocious side effects so just currently on paracetamol which has eased the pain. I also have ice packs above my breasts to help with the swelling.

The nurse has called me twice today to see how I have been and has given lots of good advise.

I’m hoping I will feel lots better by the weekend. I hope everyone else is ok.

I just cannot wait to see the final outcome…

I’m just glad it’s over and hoping for a speedy recovery. Xxxx

I must have been after you. I Have the breast band on which is so painful! Also cause I had a full tummy tuck I’ve got so many garments on. They discharge me about 1.30 today and I couldn’t thank them enough they where absolutely brilliant and the whole experience was straight forward. Mine are also under the muscle and It feels like someone is sat on my chest. Glad all went well with you and the next stage of the recovery which I’m looking forward to x

    Hi Zoe

I did the same thing had to come off the stronger painkillers found I was being sick and feeling faint I called the nurse the next morning. Day 3 is much better today coping on paracetamol and ice packs. I had overs but still hard to do things for yourself. Even got a better nights sleep.

Yes having them wrapped is hard because can’t really see much. I have my macom bra over but it’s so tight I’m thinking to order a M&S post op bra.

Hope you are feeling ok x

@ molly – wow how are you feeling after everything? Yes it certainly feels like I’ve been hit by a bus lol. I’m very tired and sore still. Hope your feeling better and get a good nights rest.

@LJ – I’m glad your feeling better. Yes it’s very tight, the macom bra over the strapping. My back is achy too. It can only get better from here on so let’s makes the most of resting. Hehehe Have a great night rest. Xx

My right side is sooooo sore and moving my arm is so painful but on the whole I’m feeling ok and moving around but the strapping is driving me crazy as its so tight!. My belly is surprisingly ok which I’m surprised about but not complaining as I thought this is what would give me the most pain. Can’t believe it’s all done now and the whole experience was a really good one and would definitely recommend mya to anyone as the cared for me so well. I can’t wait now for the next couple of weeks and see the changes and hopefully start losing some of these garments. I keep trying to peak at them but can’t really see a lot but so excited that I actually have boobs lol x

    Hi girls.

I think day 3 was the worst for me. I had to keep asked not for help pulling my pants down to go to the toilet. I also lost the ability to get up so had to be pushed to sit up. I knew what it was like being one of the children. I felt like I had the arms of a T-Rex.
The strapping will drive you nuts but I promise once that comes of you’ll want to dance about even though mine was like getting an industrial wax. I also felt at times it was the only thing holding the boobies to my body, but they’re still in.

    Hey Ladies

I think my bra size is the problem I had a 34 macom then I’ve tried the M&S post op bras today both too tight and the cups don’t fit so I’m going to have to put my Macom back on 🙁 because the cups at least fit well. I should have got 36 instead. My stomach is so swollen I called the nurse about the bra situation. She said I can have just the strapping on no bra for a bit so it feels so nice! But I’m going to get the Macom back on later. I’ve ordered the Matalan bras too they come tomorrow.

Hope everyone is doing well in their recovery xxx

Yes I feel same with the T-Rex arms lol

    Hey ladies,
I’m exactly the same, unable to do anything by myself. Having to be pushed up and helped back down. The strapping is sooooo uncomfortable but bearable. I cannot wait until it comes off. I think I may have needed a bigger size.

My stomach is very bloated and still have not been able to poop. Feel absolutely horrid right now.
I’m also taking half of the painkillers which seems to be working well and not having any side effects.

Hope everyone is resting and recovering well..

    Lots of love

    Zoe

Cannot wait to see the nurse on the 18th to have the strapping removed. Then I can see my new boobs at last. Hoping then I will be more comfortable too.

I had my surgery on the 11th of January to. I had a uplift without implants. My admission time was 9:30 but I didn’t go down to surgery until 15:15. I came around in the recovery room about 18:10. I was a over night stay at London fitzroy.
How are you all feeling today as it’s now 4days post op and I’m so surprised as I thought I would be a lot worse than what I am. I just get very tired easy and very little pain in my breasts so far so good!
Can’t wait for Tuesdays to have the strapping off and to have a look at the new additions ????

    Hi Ladies
Yes a lot better today I had my op on the 10th. Finally got some sleep 5 hours last night it was amazing!! Few sharp pains, tummy bloating and get tired really quickly still..
I actually left the house today to walk to the shop to return some post op bras but I walked like a snail and it usually a five minute walk so didn’t over do it.

I’ve got my strapping off Tuesday too I can’t wait super excited 🙂

Is everyone still on painkillers? I’m still on paracetamol

Hope Everyone is healing well 🙂

Hi LJ, I actually slept a lot better aswel but having a right nightmare with all these garments! There all over lapping and I’m sure they are rubbing on my incisions. I’ve not really taken any painkillers but also have sharp pains here and there. I’m trying to decide if my right leg is a bit swollen as bent down earlier and it felt like there was a bit of pressure plus its quite cold put I’ve put compression socks back on and its warmed up. If it still seems different tomorrow I will call the nurse as I’ve not heard from her at all but am seeing her next week. I’m really swollen on my belly from the tuck but I also don’t think it helps that I haven’t pooped for 5 days so may have to get something to help. I’m really hoping next week I begin to get moving a lot more as its driving me mad being so dependent. When you see the nurse what do they remove? I have the strapping, the Macom band and the macom bra. I don’t think the will remove my other garments as I’m sure they have to be on for 6weeks x

    Hi Molly

You are doing really well not taking any painkillers that’s really good plus you had two things done.

Yeah good call put the socks back on see how your leg is tonight. The nurse might tell you keep your leg in a different position or something while you are resting.

As far as I know the strapping is coming off I called the nurse the other day when I was having bra dramas lol she said also depends on how I’m healing if I come for a 2 weeks check up. I’m alternating between my Macom bra and Matalan one. I was never told I needed a band did you buy this from Macom? Do you have the bodysuit on for your tummy tuck? Bet you can’t wait to see the final results 🙂

Swollen belly is a nightmare I had pooped from day 2/3 I think not too bad but still really swollen. Trying some bits others girls suggest on my bloated stomach post. When I called the nurse she was happy I had managed to go already I got the feeling they expect you not to go for days and days ……

Good luck with tonight’s sleep xx

I can’t wait to start getting it removed. The band they supplied and yes I have a bodysuit and a massive Velcro band that goes over the top so my movements are so limited and everything is digging in. I put the socks back on and have warmed up so will keep them on. I’m still glad I got both procedures done together vas the pain from my boobs have really disguised any pain from my stomach. Are you suffering really bad lower back pain? Im sleeping sitting up in the chair and surrounded by pillows ect so not sure if bad positioning is making it worse. Tomorrow I’m going to start moving around a bit more. X

    Hi Molly

How did you get on with your leg last night and sleeping?

I got five hours but woke with sore back. I’ve managed to do a school run on the bus as I definitely don’t feel ready to drive. Got tired walking I noticed.

Just lots of arches now and back pain. Arms still very restricted movement can’t wait for my post op appointment tomorrow 🙂

Hey LJ, sorry only just seen this. I rang this morning and went to see them as they feel really puffy and putting on half a stone really shocked me. She checked the and said she thinks cause I’ve had ba and full tummy tuck I just have a lot of fluid and should reduce but just keep an eye on it. My sleep is absolutely crap, I get really stiff then wake and can’t move properly. I just want to get back to being active again but know how important for the recovery to take it easy. It can only get better x

    Hey Ladies,

So quick update I’m having trouble sleeping, feeling hot then cold, feeling nausea. I think these all maybe side effects to the pain killers so have stopped then again.
My right boob is bigger than my left, it almost feels as if the strapping is pulling at my incision scabs and that’s what hurts the most. I feel like absolute crap as very active usually but having trouble adjusting to resting all day as getting bored. Although I am on season 3 of orange is the new black lol I have a splitting headache today that just won’t shift and a shitty nights sleep which did not help. I felt ok yesterday but today is defiantly a bad one.
I get my strapping hopefully removed tomorrow lunchtime so looking forward to that.
Hope everyone else’s recovery is going well.
    Big hugs xxxxxx

    Hi Molly & Zoe

Molly Good to hear your leg is ok yes two ops is a lot but at least all out the way in one go 🙂

The sleeping is the worse so sat sun I got five hours and last night six! Still back ache but it gets better. My partner has worked out a better pillow arrangement for me. We put two pillows behind my batwing pillow but kinda make them into a seat and plonk the batwing pillow up against it. Started that on sat and I really think that’s helping me. Still on paracetamol but not needed it so much.

Did the school run on the bus this morning then tube train to my appointment. Tube was hard no seats grrrr had a lift home

So the strapping is off I’m really happy with them they are still high and bit cone like but I like the size I’m not too big or small.

I took a list of questions for the nurse lol she answered everything

I took my new Matalan bra for the nurse to see if it gave enough support. Well forget that !!! It was 34d which is the size I wanted and I had worn it over my strapping no problem it was even tight. We tried it on without strapping it didn’t even fit I was confused. The nurse said they still need to drop but I can’t think that these boobs are a c cup they are big. So I’m back in the old Macom but to be fair a lot more comfortable now the strapping is removed and the cups are really supportive.

Zoe I’ve done the first series of orange is the new black so funny! Are you eating and drinking enough I notice headaches come on easy if I leave it too long between snacks meals drinks.

I’m working from home tomorrow and then I’m going to attempt back to the office Thursday Friday part day maybe six hours.

Molly when is your strapping breast band coming off?

    Zoe good luck tomorrow

I have to return next week apparently I have just one non dissolvable stitch to be removed

    Happy nights sleep everyone

Glad all is going well. I done school run today and I felt “normal” lol. I can’t stay in home it drives me crazy so have just been taking it slow out and about. My strapping came off yesterday with the stitches but still have the macom breast band and bra on. I will put a pic up as I have so many garments on its hideous and has to stay on for the entire 6 weeks!!!! I have marks all over me prom pressure marks of the garments it’s so uncomfortable. I can’t wait to see what size I’m going to be as anything is better then what I didn’t have haha. Oh yeah and I think I’m getting the dreaded cough which will probably end me! X

Zoe bless you, I hope the rest of the day you’ve improved? X
