• Why did you want the procedure?

  For nine years I’ve struggled with my nose-nobody understood! It wasn’t big and I didn’t have a huge bridge-however I did have a bridge which made my nose quite a manly feature and tip pointed downwards. I wanted a womanly nose and to feel confident without any make up! Everyone fought with me not to get the procedure but that is how I knew I was doing this for the right reason-for me! And only me!

• Why did you choose MYA?

  I’ve heard good things about the surgeons and read amazing reviews about Dr Andrea Giannitrapani who performed my open septoplasty – I would of seen him anywhere but the lady I dealt with Lauren at the Manchester branch was fabulous! My first experience in the Liverpool branch wasn’t great-the lady didn’t listen to my needs and matched me to the incorrect surgeon for myself, Dr Frati. The consultation in Manchester didn’t go to planned-he refused to operate-devastated I spoke to Lauren after my consultation who took over my case and matched me to Andrea-she told me he’s not scared of a challenge and is the nose job god! The rest I suppose you can say is history!

• How was your consultation?

  With Andrea it was brilliant! I felt informed and completely understood my procedure! He was realistic but accurate! His personality warm and charismatic- you didn’t feel like another patient but as if you were his number priority-as it should be! He really won he over!

• How was the day of your procedure?

  Fantastic! Traffic ensured the whole hospital cane to a stand still and everybody ran late! Haha! However Andrea came to see me and throughly went through everything before my procedure, he also cane to see me a couple of hours after once I’d recovered and showed me before and after pictures. He made sure I was well nd just genuinely have a shit-pardon my French! The nurses where fantastic-supportive and comforting as you require! There was one nurse who I wanted to kno lnout when I came around if I hadn’t been a bit dillusional for her rudeness but she didn’t tinder my experience.

• How was your recovery?

  Wow-pain what pain? It was just the discomfort of the nose package and not being able to breath for the three days until it was removed. It was extremely difficult to get used to as I felt suffocated but pain is beauty and please trust me it is SO worth those three days of discomfort but my god was I delighted when she removed the packaging! My nurse Jeanette was fantastic in Liverpool May I add-gentle as it was tender and informative

• Are you happy with your results?

  Five weeks post op so far I’m thrilled it’s everythinf is ever have imagined and more! I am realistic and I honestly didn’t think the results achieved would be as fantastic as they have been ( I always find it easier to expect the worst to prepare and anything else is a bonus)
