I log onto this forum every night before bed and read the new topics of the day! I have my surgeon consultation with Dr.fiumara on the 27th of April but i’m already feeling like cancelling!

I thought i had an idea of what i wanted in my head but seeing other people’s posts and pictures has put me way off track! One minute i’m all ‘just small and neat boobs will be fine’ and the next im like ‘Go big or go home!’ I’ve even gone as far as photoshopping different boobs on me and i still don’t know! (How sad am i)

Also, obviously peoples topics of ‘not happy’, ‘uneven’ ‘so painful’ etc etc posts are majorly swaying me off! Sometimes all girls seem to do is moan, like literally 2dpo “i dont like my boobs! They’re not big/small/round/fake/natural enough!” Literally smacking my head and rolling my eyes at the same time! I’d be more than ecstatic with some girls 6 weeks PO results but will i also moan and complain the same issues? Are we ever really happy? Maybe its just us as women? Never happy! Wanting bigger boobs but a smaller waist and more defined thighs, take away the stretch marks with £100 stretch mark cream (and then buying more expensive cream when that doesn’t work) dying our hair and false tanning more often than we should. Its so difficult being a woman… ( now looks who’s moaning!)

No matter how big or small i go i want them to be TREMENDOUSLY NATURAL LOOKING! This is my number one must have! Some girls posts i’ve seen claim that they’re boobs look SUPER natural but i must need new glasses because they are so far from natural looking its shocking! Like great for them if they’re happy but is my version of ‘natural looking’ completely different from what actually is natural looking fake boobs?!

I look at my boobs alot more in the mirror now (for two years i’ve only ever BARELY looked at them in the shower but loved them when i was breastfeeding and took loads of photos! When i wasn’t leaking everywhere :O) and sometimes i try and persuade myself that ‘they’re not that bad!’ Followed swiftly by ‘they’re fecking awful! 12 year old boys have bigger tits than you!’ Fml

So i guess im asking for the time again question of can you please upload your before and afters, your experience and ARE YOU HAPPY?! WAS IT ALL WORTH IT?! To persuade me that the results are great, no pain no gain, and i will finally have some confidence at 24 years old!! Hurrah!

Posting a pic of what i want to look like – not just the boobs , the whole body transplant would be fabulous! 😉

P.s The amount of boob pics on my ipad IS NOT OKAY! Haha

I really love your posts Carly! Teardrop stalker made me laugh and with this post I could not agree more! I want you to get it done just so I can read your updates! Haha.
The way I’m looking at it is that I trust Dr Fiumara- she is known for the natural look and something has got to better than nothing, well for me it’s defintitly a case of anything is better than what I currently have.
You know what your boobs look like fuller because you’ve had a baby and like you said – you loved them!
My advice would be to go for it – why spend your life thinking ‘what if?’ If you have the opportunity to boost your confidence then do it.
Out of curiosity did Dr Fiumara say if you were suitable for teardrop implants?

Hiya Hun I had 400 high profile unders & I’m very happy with my results! I’m now 3wpo on Wednesday & changing all the time & I’ve still got a long way to go but it’s the best decision I’ve ever made & was defiantly worth every part of it x

Haha thank you Daisy! I think i treat my posts more like a diary! Whoopsies! I can see my posts now ‘one nipple looks like its falling off! ‘Scars like frankenstein’ and possibly ‘my boobs are better than yours!’ I wish hahahaha

Yes! My new fav saying is ‘don’t let 5 minutes of fear stop you from living a lifetime of happiness’ awwww. Doubt if it’ll help when im toddling down to theatre thinking ‘i could die! I’ll be in the papers for dying having a boob job, how heroic! ‘

I don’t meet her until the 27th of this month! 🙂

Hi Carly the answer is yes to you will moan and you will be unhappy, then you’ll be over the moon, then unhappy again everyday is a different outlook..i did like yourself all my research, read every night on here everyone’s experiences and thoughts… so you think your prepared…but nothing can prepare you for the emotional rollercoaster you go on…it’s such a change no matter how bad they was before it’s hard to except the new ones at first for some people as they are never ever gonna be exactly how you pictured them…then there’s the fear of cc and double bubble and everything else that can go wrong!
as for backing out i think you have to weigh up how much your boobs effect you? mine i had to in the end go through with it as it was effecting me psychologically, i just needed boobs that wasn’t a full padded bra anymore..before my son i had a decent pair but after they disappeared :/
I am now at 8 weeks post op and i’ve noticed my moaning and scrutinising has pretty much stopped..not that i think they are perfect just think i’m coming to the end of that rollercoaster that we all seemed to go on after the op!
i don’t regret getting them done, wish i went a teeny bit bigger but don’t we all! but no matter what i know i’m not gonna feel like crap again taking off a full padded bra and seeing my empty boobs so that in it’s self has been worth it! xx

    Hey Carly.
I love your posts also, they always make me laugh. I know exactly where your coming from with everything that you’ve said. I’ve just paid my final balance off today and my surgery is 25th April with Mr Traynor. I do doubt my decision some times as I don’t hate my boobs, they actually aren’t bad at all, I just would like them bigger and more fuller in shape. Over the past three years I’ve gone through some awful things in my personal life which has just made me feel like life really is too short and if I can change something I’m not happy with then why not go for it. The one thing Im terrified of is ending up with massive boobs cause I think I would cry lol.
Realistically your never going to know what your end result will be so you can worry yourself to death over it to be honest but if you’ve seen a lot of your surgeons work and are fully informed then everything should be fine.
In regards to your consultation just go for it, nothing will be lost from it only gained and hopefully then you’ll get some more information xx

Hey, Ive got alot of pics on my profile. Feel free to look! I went for alot smaller than what was suggested to me and mine are v natural (sometimes I think they are tiny bit too big…) but now they feel totally part of me, and sometimes I forget I even had it done! Im approx 3months post op. Its honestly not that bad, and I was terrified and nearly backed out SO many times.
    Good luck 🙂 xx

Hi carly I’ve just accepted your friend request feel free to look through my pictures. Before I had my surgery I felt just like you the amount of emotions is draining. I can honestly say I feel it is totally worth it I’m extremely happy with my boobs now where as before I was disgusted by them after having a child myself everything changed. I never had boobs to begin with but they were terrible after pregnancy they inflated then deflated to nothing!!! I had 425 cc hp unders and feel they are looking more natural as each day passes. I experienced a bit of pain after surgery for about 4 days then it got less each day after now I’m now 18 dpo and have no pain and have full.movement. I’ve had a really good experience and have so much more confidence already. As you said us girls are never going to be happy but we can try and for me I feel like a weight has been lifted as it’s one less thing to worry about or get down about. Hope this helps.

I agree with this post but then I know I had doubts through my journey sometimes it’s nice to have reassurance as we’ve paid a lot of money for this operation so I want my boobs to be how they are, coming towards 15WPO I’m more happy now but sometimes I would hate them it’s because we have this image in our minds and if it’s not like that then we doubt them too easily.

It’s something that’s your decision and it’s changed my life now I look at my body so differently now I love my waist more now and I have a big bum so now I feel even haha! I’ll take a body pic tomorrow and message you the difference 🙂

Women’s minds are a strange adventure haha xxx

I’m only a week and a half post op, I too would read all the posts on here so I prepared myself mentally that they may look like stuck on footballs first of all or one may drop quicker than the other. I too wanted a natural look, just a little bit bigger and fuller than what I had, I was wearing a 36b but my surgeon said I was just short of a b cup… I had 275cc unders. I didn’t look at them until I was 48 hours post op and I really loved them, not too big and went with my body, nobody would even know I had them done! I think everyone looks and compares themselves to others too much! I don’t look at my boobs everyday and pick out problems, I just look at them and think they’re a nice size! One is a very slight different shape to the other but I don’t get upset over it because it was a slightly different shape to begin with. They weren’t perfect to start with so I’m not expecting them to be perfect after. The surgeon can only work with what you’ve got. I don’t regret getting it done at all! But I know what you mean, I’m the pickiest, most harshest critic in the world, especially about myself! But I promised myself that I wouldn’t keep looking and finding things wrong with them, just go with the journey and enjoy it! Xx

Jessica- Oh wow thats so soon! April! I can’t get a surgery date until the end of September due to work which obviously has its pro’s and con’s. Plently of time to do research and make my final implant size but also too much time for changing my mind on sizes and reading negative posts that might put me off!

L87- i’ve had a look through your pics and they’re fab!! I would be over the moon if i had a result like yours! I don’t think they look to big at all. Its probably just a big adjustment to what you were before! But honestly they look amazing and your incisions look amazing! 😀

Ashleigh- your results at 15 days post op are amazing! Can you imagine how great they’re gunna look 3/6/9 months down the line! Wow! You must be so happy 🙂

Claudine- I’m 24 at the mo and 25 in August, hoping to have my surgery in September! Happy Healing as they say!

Shaunie- Thanks aha oh i hope everything goes well for you! I still don’t have anyone to come along to my surgery with me. I literally don’t have anyone to ask as all my friends are teachers!

Eleanor – i think its just life that we as women constantly compare ourselves. Im hoping to go in with the mentality that im so unhappy with them now that anything size wise will be a massive improvement! 🙂

I totally get how you feel. I think this forum can be very difficult as people do post topics saying they HATE them and as you say they’re only 2 days post op! They clearly don’t realise how much it can affect others by posting such threads. I remember reading one girl complain they were too small – she had 400! I feel sorry for those of you who as trying to research size etc. only to have to see all these negative posts.
Anyway, I had Linda for my op on 7th November and I’m very happy. I have plenty of pics on my profile, although I need to add some up to date ones, but feel free to add me. I also have an Instagram page which you can follow but it’s private so DM me and I’ll accept you.
If you have any questions just ask, I’m more than happy to answer any.
    Good luck!

PS. To get really good natural results (like in the picture you uploaded) you need to have a good amount of your own breast tissue to hide the implant. I didn’t but am still happy with my result. X

PPS. Teardrop shape implants aren’t as popular as round and some surgeons don’t believe that they will give you any more of a natural result. I don’t think I have seen Linda use teardrop on anyone before so she may not use them, I might be wrong but it’s something to look into. X

    Hi Imogen!
Its a shame that MYA dont do fat transfer because i’d love to have fat transferred there first to help create a more natural look but it seems they only do that vaser lipo! Xx

I looked into fat transfer a couple of years ago and it put me off because you’re still paying the same money but the results only last up to 5 years or something and then the fat starts to distribute around the body again… I imagined one would distribute it more than the other so I’d end up lop sided! Hopefully that makes sense! But yeah for that reason it put me off x

This has made me laugh so much but yes i see your point!
Yes, i was achey when i recovered. Yes i was in pain when i woke up. Yes i hated being bloated and wearing sports bras and strapping for a week, and not being able to shower properly for a week and wash my hair and all that jazz, BUT overall i am super happy with my results and tbh my recovery wasnt bad at all! I had it pretty easy. Not at one point have i said i havent not liked my boobs, tbh its a massive improvement from what i had before (or more didnt have) but of course its going to hurt and be hard at times, its surgery! its not a walk in the park.

I think some people have different views on what natural is, and i personally am happy with my boobs and i think they look as natural as they can be, and tbh i got them done for me and no one else, so i dont really care what others think. Im pleased i finally have some tits! And that being said i think some people have different pain thresholds and expectations of what surgery is going to be like, were all different.

When researcing i did become a bit nervous about all the complications and uneven boobs and that, but its a risk we all take with surgery and we just have to accept that. Its not emergecy, its elective, were choosing to do it. So yeah, i did find that off putting at times. But i wanted a bust, so had to do it! and once i said yes i wasnt going o change my mind.

I had 350 HP partials 10 weeks ago (this friday) and now a 32DD/32E and im very happy with the whole process and boobies. If its what you wanna do, then definitely go for it x

I had dr Fiumara. I had very moderate 375cc implants in on my broad size 12 frame. I wanted a natural look and wanted a moderate sized bust as I am active. I wanted the Victoria secrets model look

I’m over the moon with my boobs. I’m now 7 weeks and wouldn’t change anything about them.

I’m on Instagram as mya.ba.journey2017 and you can see my pics on there or add me on here to see them.

Good luck with your op, dr Fiumara will give you a very good natural look x

Dr Fiumara is defo the surgeon for a natural look ur in safe hands. I had her and she was amazing. I agree with some of the posts being very dramatic but that’s people in general on social media it doesn’t help but promote hysteria but some women are genuinely in pain or have low threshold.

A ba takes upto a year to show final results although some girls don’t realise this.

For pain especially if u have unders u need to eat a high protein diet.
Diet in general is key.. If u eat junk then expect to take longer to heal.
Also if ur a gym bunny cease working out min 2 wks before surgery esp if I have under the muscle. Exercise will make ur chest muscles tight and the pain post op will be a killer.

Do ur research and have a look on realself.com as for size consider what linda says as she is very clear and won’t put anything in that will make u look top heavy and very fake. She usually only gives two – three max sizes to choose from unlike some who give five/six. Ask her and let her know ur concerns she’s very understanding and makes no promises and is very clear about what to expect.

Contact your pc or nurse for serious concerns and get ur supplements up too as I thibk that helped my recovery. I didn’t have any major pain just discomfort.

I took zinc, vit c, feroglobin and magnesium I’d researched and found they all contained things I needed for healing. I’d also say check that anyone giving advice is a Mya patient many girls aren’t and their experience may differ a lot in terms of aftercare and advice. Each surgeon has their own way they go about things also so try not to compare what your surgeon advises post op in terms of bras etc.

Good luck hope ur consultation goes well and base ur decision on your wants and needs fx
