Hi all, just thought I’d share before and after pics of my uplift. This was an uplift only, no implants. I had the op less than 24hrs ago. I’m still in hospital (all uplifts require an overnight stay) but readying to leave.

I’d never had GA before and that was really the only part I was worried about but actually, when I got in to theatre, it was all done so quickly that I didn’t have time to sit and fret. I woke up around three hours later and then snoozed in and off for the rest of the day.

My boobs are kinda sore…I say kinda because they’re really not that bad! I haven’t had any pain relief and I’ve slept well, even at 45 degrees on my back!

I am over the moon with my results as my breasts were so empty and not what you’d expect from a 30 year old who has never had children! I feel like my nipples are placed quite low but Dr. Traynor did say beforehand that my breasts would be swollen and hard and that they’d settle with recovery. So I’m hoping that by then my nipples sit a little higher. Nevertheless, I am extremely happy and would do it again in a heartbeat!

    Hiya Hun….
They look fab! I bet your sooo pleased. I’m in on Friday for reduction and uplift… I’m the same as you, 31 and had no kids.
Hope you recover well…. I’m so excited! Just not looking forward to the overnight stay x

Thank you! So glad I finally went for it…only been waiting 10 years ????

The overnight stay was much welcomed by me. By the time I got out of surgery (2.30pm) and dozed away until I felt human, it was night time and time to sleep properly. The staff have been amazing and it’s been a comfortable stay. I’m just waiting on the surgeons final words and I’m out of here!

Good luck with everything and keep us posted!

How is the pain? I’m there at 7.30am tomorrow… what was your admission time? X

The pain hasn’t been an issue for me at all. The trouble I’m finding is actively trying not to do too much as I feel totally okay! I know I’m healing and I don’t want to put myself at risk at all. I guess I am one of the lucky ones with regards to the pain. I have fully took on board all advise for recovery though: lots of protein in my diet, no smoking or drinking either side of surgery, staying active, sleeping on my back at 45 degrees etc! I am taking ibuprofen for the swelling but I’m not touching the codeine they’ve given me as the side effects are just not worth it for me (constipation, bloating, nausea) especially when I’m not suffering. I would advise on taking paracetamol instead if you can get away with it. As if taking it easy isn’t bad enough, I don’t want to feel awful because of codeine…ugh!

I was admitted at 8am and was third on the list. I had my surgery about 11.30am and woke up about 2.30pm and was super drowsy all day.

    Are you excited? Nervous?

I am totally the same as you with regards to pain, I actually feel really good. The nurse gave me tramadol tho so that’s maybe why. I did have a little complication tho, my right one was swollen and bleeding inside so I’d only been back in the room 2 hours when they had to take me back to theatre put me back to sleep and sort it… which was very scary and had me panicking. But all is good now 🙂
The first time I woke up in recovery I thought I was at work and I’d fallen asleep hahaha.

I’ve loved every minute of it tho and was totally worth it, can’t wait to go home now tho… xx

Ohhh so good to hear!! Best feeling ever isn’t it! Mine are a little less hard and swollen now and I’m seeing my nurse tomorrow to have dressings changed. I have a weird sore under my thigh breast which is really itchy and it’s been there since waking up after theatre…hopefully nothing to worry about though. I’ll be 6 days post op tomorrow and I ant believe it’s gone so quickly! I’m looking forward to seeing them change as the weeks go by hehe!
